Great library but the people (including staff) talk WAY TOO LOUDLY! I have never been to a more noisy, chatty library. It’s honestly really hard to concentrate when studying. Other then that its a nice library.

This library is large compared to the public libraries in Berkeley and Oakland. They have plenty of seating on the 2nd floor and it's relatively quiet. The only downside is parking. It's limited and you have to pay to park Monday-Saturday. There are a few 2 hour library parking spaces but those are usually occupied and there's free parking further away but those are also difficult to come by.

This is a great library! Someone on here mentioned it was smaller than the Oakland branch, like HOW? Being from Oakland I was always amused that a big city like that doesn't have a sufficient sized library like SF. I've seen prisons(in movies) that look better than that main branch! And prob louder than a homeless shelter. I came from Oakland to this library while finishing my degree and still come here to do work. The mask police is annoying sometimes, but understood. Very clean, from the sitting areas to the restrooms...

Rich collection of books, CD, DVD etc. Quiet, nice and clean environment. Love it. With books in other languages, make it turely international and global friendly library.
