Loudest library I've worked at. If you're looking for a quiet place to work or read, you're better off at Philz next door. Other than that, decent study/work area. One additional star added for helpful staff and study rooms.

Small Library, great staff. Some questionable people do hang out in here (homeless) but theres always a security guard on duty at all times. I love to rent movies form here once a week. Great spot, right next to philz! BUT you cannot have food or drink in the Library. Bonus fact, you can look up a book/movie you want on the computer and if its not at the library you can have them request it and you can pick it up here when its ready!

I didn't think to join the library, because I have been reading books on my smart phone for years. Then a friend told me about free electronic books to check out from the SF Library, so I went into this very lovely little branch library overlooking Mission Creek and became a library member. I noticed a wall of current magazines along with paper books, audio books, and movies. And great community information and events too. Paper book needs may be lessening, but the library is still quite relevant to our community!
