Blew off a showing. Waited in the sun for 30min. Building is surrounded by homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks, leasing office looks like a storage closet. Frauds.

Do not live here and it will be your worst decision! Dirty not safe missing packages all the time! And bad service! I lost so many package including credit card an f1000’ usd suitcase and they told me they are not responsible and i need to pay money to move out early!! And it’s ridiculous they call them wehonlxiudy apartment when outside is disgusting and no body even wants to rent their store and homeless all the time. The worst apartment ever lived in LA. Package room has no lockers, there is key, but people break into inguess so we lose package left and right. No service or help, dirty outside and inside, no wonder nobody wants to rent their store space coz it’s so dirty outside and so many homeless. You will be regretful if you move here and don’t be tricked by their 30 day satisfaction rule, who would move in and spend energy and money to move out again after 30 days?

Update from my review below after initially moving in: The apartment is nice, the unit itself we haven't had a ton of issues with but..... We had $5,000 worth of vandalism damages done to our vehicle in the Huxley parking lot. The Huxley was NEVER helpful in the midst of it. Jenna, the manager, never responds to our emails unless we have sent multiple or end up having to go downstairs to see if she is there to ask in person what the status is. They never sent ONE apology, not even to check in with us after we contacted the police and were clearly upset about the situation since we had been moved across the country for less than a month. No update EVER, still. And this happened in October. We weren't asking for much, just simply an update or to ask if we were OK. They wouldn't show us the surveillance which I understand is policy but then they never updated us on if they submitted the video to the police, literally nothing hahahaha. We got the contact for the regional manager, Selina, and left her voicemails and she also just never responded to us or called us back. Seems like something is a little backwards with the whole company of Essex. Again, nothing wrong with our unit. But unfortunately, Essex itself could give two sh*ts about the tenants. So just make sure you have nothing you need assistance with if you decide to live here

I renewed my lease here because I genuinely believed it was changing for the better, but in taking a look at previous reviews, history is repeating itself and some. Domonique was incredible and seemed to be a beacon of hope in the constant changes in management team, but she is no longer here. I'm starting to believe that the safety issues at this property are a greater symptom of systemic flaws within the Essex group. Our unit and amenities are everything I need, and while in a building this size I can expect to occasionally encounter residents that are entitled and disrespectful, leaving trash where it doesn't belong, not picking up after their dogs, etc. However, the blatant apathy for a safety has approached a critical mass. In discussing with a number of other residents, these issues are widespread and seemingly happening more frequently. We do NOT have 24 hour security, and it has led to mass unrest in the building. We have had homeless people living in empty units, stairwells, and even in the clubhouse yesterday where he spent the whole day even during property tours! I feel horrible for the circumstance that these folks are in, but what I find more troubling is that this means that anyone with malicious intent could also readily access our building. In addition, theft and vandalism throughout the building and garage have continued for over a year. People smoke and do drugs in the stairwells, of which I have sent pictures of needle caps and lighters I've encountered to the office; it has not ceased. It has been months since I've seen any security patrol the premises. I found someone's keys in the elevator outside of office hours and there was no one to give them to until I tracked down a maintenance person to at least hang on to them. The police were called the other night on a group of non-residents that became violent. Despite a handful of other incidents this week, there has been no communication to the residents to bring added awareness about what is actually happening here and to be on alert. It feels like Essex won't act until someone is actually assaulted in this building and has no interest in mitigating risk in the meantime. Do you care about your employees at the very least? Do you care about the hundreds of lives that call this building home?
