On hold for at least an hour every time. You get close and no one picks up or get hung up on. No call back option. Who is running this place?

They are not accredited with the BBB... no surprise. The entire Department is very unhelpful. It seems like you guys need more help and better management. You're on hold forever and when you talk to someone they are never happy to help you and have such poor attitudes. We need help and instead of just referring us to your website, we need a live person. I would even suggest creating a YouTube Channel with How To's and Tutorials on how to obtain certain forms or What To Do after getting your salesperson license. I'm also suggesting a portal with uploaded copies of forms we have submitted and history of fees that have been paid. We need a better, faster and more innovative Department please

Called 3 days in a row for a very important question! Said 45 minute hold time each time....would update the time left to wait. When gets to 2 minutes just says no one is available. No one ever answered 3 days in a row, after 2 hours of holding. How could this possibly be ok with them? A bit embarssasing that the CA Dept. of RE California is this unorganized or unprepared. We expect you to support us but obvioulsly we are not a priority. 😒

The employees can be nice, but my god the Dre needs to get it together. Worst management system ever. It shouldn’t take them 2 months to barely process my paperwork. It shouldn’t take multiple attempts at me calling, waiting 3 hours on the phone just to be told they don’t know when my paperwork will be processed. They were so quick to charge me 300 bucks but so slow at actually getting things done. It’s so embarrassing at this point. I can’t believe our tax dollars fund this kind of prehistoric system.

Hello, I'm a licensed real estate agent with a question. Is there such a thing as a "licensed short term rental" agent??? Asking because a company called Evolve Vacation Rentals told me their people are licensed with that designation.

From my knowledge I know that the types of licenses the DRE has are salesperson, broker, MLO, NMLS, and PRLS.

I am 76 years old and have an active license. I need to renew at the end of this month. I understand that after 75 years old the mandatory classes are not necessary. How do I renew my license?

Need to do a name change, I have mailed the form and faxed it with my CDL over a month ago. If I go into your office are you able to assist. When I contacted Customer Service they said I can go into the Los Angeles office is that correct?

Not exactly at the LA office they only accept applications and other paperwork to forward it to Sacramento. The LA office only does investigations. They wouldn't be able to give you a status on your paperwork

My license expires in 14 months . can I take the 45 hour continue education now.

You can take continuing education as soon as you renew. you have the 4 years to take it when you want. If you delay taking your continuing education you risk submitting a late renewa

Can i drop off to your local office my payment and app to renew my license. It is expired (3 weeks) and I overlooked it. Will you issue a receipt for both items. I understand the system reflects about a 4 weeks app process.

My apartment owner has no insurance on the property. Pursuant to Business professional code is he able to collect the rent.

To the best of my knowledge, insurance is a matter between the owner of the property and a lender (assuming a lender is involved). I would not believe this affects the owner's right to collect rent.
