Interesting little place in the Hamptons Golf course club house. The food was good and reasonably priced. Mostly fried and sandwiches, but very good

Went around lunchtime, midweek. Enjoyed my Bistro burger. Service was pretty good.

This place is ridiculous. The first few times we went were pretty good. The last couple were terrible. We went in today for brunch and it took over an hour for the server to come over to inform us that our order was just being started. At that time I asked for another drink. After 20 minutes of waiting for it I cancelled it. Ten minutes later it was brought over. When the food finally came it was barely luke warm. I let someone know and he was very apologetic and did comp the bill. If this was the first time that I had a bad experience I would give it another try but sadly its happened before so I will not be going back.

My wife, another couple, and myself visited the Bistro last Saturday evening. So let me get the bad stuff out of the way up front so we can get to the good stuff, because the good far outweighed the bad. So we did have three minor disappointments 1. There was no kind of bread with the pasta, some sort of bread, even a decent size bread stick would have been appreciated. 2. all three with me had the Fries and no one liked them. The were fat fries but they had that coating on the outside that's suppose be extra crispy or something, no clue but they weren't good, and the insides was just like puffed air & potato. They would do much better to hand slices fries to order and twice dip them so their crispy. 3. The ranch dressing tasted like a Kraft mass bottle, which has that sour taste to it, ranch should be slightly mayonnaise'y and this was not. The salads themselves were good though. So now to the Good Stuff: We were there when they opened the doors right on time at 4pm. We were immediately seated and drinks orders taken. They don't have a lot of beers on tap but they do have a pretty good size list of craft & local Virginia beers. Our waiter John did an excellent job, very efficient and friendly. The facility is nicely done inside and was very clean, but it's brand new so it should be. My friends wife had the crab cake platter, looked at tad over deep friend to me, but she said it was perfect for her and she enjoyed it. He had the burger, it looked like a good burger, he enjoyed though he said it was just a touch over Med. My wife had the Fish & Chips, three or four big that were well battered and cooked perfectly. The cole slaw was good but on the small side. I had the Pasta Carbonara with mushrooms & shrimp, I will tell you it was Excellent tasting. And the bowl size was just right, enough to really fill you up, but not so much that you leave feeling like crap...lol. I will tell you because it was that good if the bowl was bigger I'd have just kept eating..LOL. . Overall we were very pleased with our visit, and if we are ever back in the area we would visit again, we did make a special trip down there from Williamsburg just to visit this establishment and we were happy that we did. So Yes I absolutely do recommend it, especially if you are a local...go out support your good local businesses. To everyone at the Bistro I say, could small things I'd address, but well done we really enjoyed it.
