This is our second year camping here. Family friendly! Chris and his wife take really good care of the campground. The bathrooms are updated (bring quarters, $0.25 for 1 minute). There are sinks to wash dishes. Cross the highway and there is a private beach area to play at the river.

The campground was very good, but expensive, and I had to pay more for showers, which I don’t like, but showers were good and heated. The campground is nice. A bit noisy, though. Traffic is near and can be heard. Quieter toward the back of the campground with regard to traffic noise, but premium sites at the back cost more and are expensive, in my opinion. About $70 for a premium site on 6/29/22. Guy working at the campground was communicative, upbeat, and helpful. Restroom was good and very clean looking, and the guy working at and probably cleaning the restroom was nice.

Stayed at Schoolhouse canyon Campground for two nights. It is a bit on the pricy side ($60 for 4 people and one car for a regular site, a premium site would be an additional $20 + tax) but that said it was a nice place. Each site had a nice place to set up a tent, a steel firepit with a half grate you could put over the fire and a picnic table. The sites are pretty much right next to each other so you will hear your neighbors. The facilities are nice, they are the cleanest I think I have ever seen at a campground. There are flush toilets, pay showers (.25 per minute of hot water) and a place to wash dishes. We also had a water spigot on our site though I didn't need to use it. The campgrounds also has a private section of beach across the road the down at the river. It was nice for the kids to go swimming. Down the road is a nice pub with local beers on tap and good pub grub.

Schoolhouse Canyon Campground is a really great place to camp! The owners are friendly, the grounds are immaculate, and the Russian River is nearby! They have an orchard across the road and if the fruit is ripe you can pick and use yourself. It is an old Redwood grove and a lovely campground with a picnic table and fire ring. Clean restrooms are nearby as well.

Jackpot is the most lovable pit. Okay 1 answers said No Bully breeds and the other answers said least it all time and friendly and Jack would be leashed and friendly and lovable but he is a blue nose and a Staffordshire is that going to be acceptable
Just camped last weekend, definitely open. I called for days and got a busy signal. Left a voicemail one evening, got a call back a few days later. Worth the wait!
It is next to river road very close to th3 road and the river, im not sure how many site there but u can check the website it has all the info u need
To piggyback on what amati said they also asked you about your party and they keep like parties together. I e children near Children's camps teens near teens camps and just adults kind of up near the top with adults so the noise in your area is limited.
Yes, but not for tent camping. Up charge for electricity
I talked to chris, who is the owner and they will open at the 19 of this month, but i think they already fully reserved, so i will be going on the 29 of may
They are open but no online reservations. You have to call, leave a detailed message, and make sure you answer when they call you back.
When we were there the front door said he would be back at 11:30 a.m.. not sure if that was typical but that's what it said when we were there.
