It's a basic campground. Mostly long term. Camp office isn't open often. Laundry works. It's right next to the bridge they are working on, so 24/7 construction noise, you get used to it. Each site comes with a picnic table & a firepit. The site's are good size, not terribly large but not crammped together either. The marina is closed due to the bridge construction. I'm here for work so I'm not there much.

There are better, and less expensive campgrounds just across the bridge in VA. Ok for a quick stay. Get your quote in writing to avoid additional fees. No river access, terrible cell service. Clean bathrooms.

They did not empty my tanks twice a week lile they said they would. They did not put me on a list for a full hookup site like they said they would. The office never called me back. My grey tank filled up and leaked in my camper. I was there 4 months with my electric bill pretty consistent 120 dollars. The last month I was there I was gone most of the time so the AC didn’t run as much but wouldn’t you know my electric bill was 180 when I called for my deposit back.

I've been living here full-time for 10 months. It's not that far from most places and I feel super safe here, especially during the CORONAVIRUS epedemic. Central to DC area and Northern VA. The bad: they offer no internet which is a massive problem here. I got lucky and share my connection with a neighbor. Nomad is the only thing that seems to work properly around here so expect to pay more for that. Utilities are good, and rent went up during pandemic which is crazy, especially since they are making bank by renting out their marina due to bridge construction which will be going on for the next 4-5 years. Due to construction the beach which I prized a great deal is inaccessible. The noise from construction doesn't interfere too much to the peace that is here most of the time. The office folks are great but they have insane office hours which makes no sense and VERY inconvenient because of not being able to get mail at the office mon- Wednesday and they give no explanation why they operate Wed- Sunday at reduced hours. Why are they open on a Sunday but closed on Monday? Neighbors are helpful to me as well as the staff otherwise. The public areas are kept very clean. They are improving the water system but I don't drink the tap water. All in all I happy here and would recommend. I'm loving here at least until Covid runs it's course and I can save up money to buy my own land. Rent is reasonable and you have your own little space to grow food or whatever you like to do. I feel comfortable here and if you are looking for a spot to live temporarily it's better than ALL RV places I've seen.

Yes they have tent spots
You can call the marina they have dry storage available but the boat ramp is closed because of the bridge construction. Give them a call they are very nice
Capt Billy's and Port Tobacco Marinia are both fairly close and good food.
Not sure about tent hook ups. Yes in the rest.
If you reserve ahead of time, they tell you what spot to take. Otherwise, we came in and picked a spot then went to the office at 9am and paid.
They do not sell boats. There may be some for sale by owners. The marina does daily rental boats
