We visited 4 years ago and I tell people it's a hidden gem worth visiting. Many of those working at the site can point out their ancestors in the historical photos! We were glad we had made.the choice to go there.

We visited Nicodemus House and completed the Junior Ranger Program with our kids. I'm very happy that the National Parks System is helping preserve the history of this settlement, but the day we visited the park ranger was from another park site and didn't have much insight into where a local sod house was that was on a display in the visitors center.

Glad I dropped by, the rangers were friendly and eager to answer question. The locals were welcoming as well. Enjoy homecoming this weekend, thank you for your hospitality!

Awesome place to visit! There's so much history there. They are really doing a great job renovating the church.
