Over the past few months I have had numerous pelvic floor related issues. Analise has helped me sort through them and even recommended a urogynecologist who will be a member of my pelvic floor team. It's been a challenging journey but she never gave up on me. We now have a plan and I will continue to work with her. She's bright, dedicated and compassionate. I feel grateful she's part of my medical team.

Dr. Nicole Cozean is truly amazing! Her positivity around IC gave me hope after dealing with this condition for several years on and off. The fact that she dedicated a whole hour just to know exactly what were my symptoms were and and then sent me a detail recap of our call with a concrete action plan is worth everything! I'm very thankful I found her and would recommend anyone dealing with interstitial cystitis and/ or pelvic pain to reach out to her even if you're not based in California, as she does virtual consults.

Laura is the best person ever! She’s absolutely saved me. I could barely walk or bend over after giving birth to my Son. Having a breech baby and an emergency cesarean left me in so much pain! My Obgyn told me there was nothing she could do and maybe I should see a chiropractor, so dumb! I’m so thankful I have a PT friend who referred me to Pelvic Sanity! It’s been 9 months and it’s been a complete transformation!! I barely have any pain and can do almost all normal activity. Which is great because my Son is now 17-months and weighs 25lbs. Thanks to Laura I can be a better Mom and pick up and play with my Son. Along with starting to do Yoga again and live a normal, healthy life. Not enough people talk about Pelvic Pain and how hard it is to fix.

We work with patients from across the United States and around the world. We offer remote consultations to take a "big picture" look for patients and create a concrete action plan for them going forward. For those able to travel to Southern California we also offer an Immersive Out of Town Program. We've worked with patients from all six continents, 20+ countries and 25 US States, with nearly 100 out of town patients treated so far. Our office can help you with scheduling and planning if it's something you're interested in!

Will I have to see an aide or just do ice/heat during my treatment time?

No! All of our appointments are one-on-one with a pelvic health specialist. We believe full-length sessions are critical to "finding the why" and making sure you can find lasting relief. You'll never be put with an aide, and our team specializes exclusively in treating complex pelvic health issues.

What do you mean by "finding the why?"

PelvicSanity | Aug 25, 2021

In order for patients to find lasting relief we need to get to the underlying "why" of what is going on. It's not enough to just reduce your symptoms - though we certainly want to do that as well! But we have to find the root cause and address it so you don't continue to deal with pelvic health issues going forward. It's a foundational principle of our team at PelvicSanity. We want to 1) alleviate symptoms, 2) "find the why" and 3) build resiliency in your body so you leave so much better than you came in.

How long are your appointments?

PelvicSanity | Aug 25, 2021
PelvicSanity | Aug 25, 2021

All of our appointments are a full hour in length, hands-on and 1:1 with a pelvic health specialist. You'll never see an aide, just Kegel, be strapped to a machine or have us just watch you exercise. We do also offer 2-hour appointments for patients who are coming from a longer distance or our out-of-town program. These can maximize your treatment time and expedite your progress while giving us enough time to work on all aspects of your condition.

What can I expect at my first visit?

You'll be welcomed by our team as soon as you arrive and you'll head into a private treatment room with your physical therapist. You'll be able to share your story, symptoms and goals without feeling rushed. Your physical therapist will step out and allow you to change into a patient gown and you'll get started with a thorough, head-to-toe evaluation. Finally, we'll also start with treatment on the first day - we want to get you feeling better as soon as possible and see how your body responds to physical therapy. Before you leave your physical therapist will let you know what they have found and come up with a plan to help you find lasting relief together!
