Wonderful event venue. Large Weddings, reunions or corporate events. Well maintained. Love the many cottages for people to stay in. Pool, lake, horseback riding. Staff is excellent and takes care of your needs. Definitely look forward to another wedding here.

Strangers' Gardens

This place is very pretty and has a lovely reception hall, but also a lot of problems. The cabins are cramped and the couple's cabin smelled like sewage. The much-vaunted activities can't be done in the cold months; they canceled some and flatly told us we didn't really want to do others. The perky planner was constantly rude to everyone except the bride. Their "cafe" produced the same food I used to rehydrate and serve when I worked the buffet in a budget hotel. As in, the exact same brand, which I recognized. And many of the things they told us we would get during initial meetings turned out to be optional upgrades for an extra cost. All that said, it is a pretty place and most of the staff were very sweet, going out of their way to be helpful. If you like it, just really hammer out those details before you commit.

We had company training out here in the event center. The venue is beautiful as well as the landscape. There are many things to do here like fishing, hunting, canoeing, play ground for the kids and horses.
