We rented a van that was brand new, black carpet and seats, took it to the beach for 5 days. I am posting photos of the condition when we returned it. They wanted to charge us a $200 cleaning fee because they are too freaking lazy to run a vacuum. We paid nearly $800 to rent this van and we are scolded because it had a little lint and “hair” REALLY? Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. They are rude and ridiculous. Unprofessional and are looking to up-charge you for anything they can. Scammers, be ware! We read all the terrible reviews but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The employee said the van was filthy. Absolutely absurd and I will be filing a complaint to corporate office. Probably going to pocket the charge for having to turn a vacuum on himself.

Tried to rent a car during my first trip visiting the beautiful Alabama and the man working the front was not only rude and disrespectful but his breath smelled horrible!! Walked out not renting a car. I’d rather walk than have to hold my breath and suffer verbal abuse from this nasty man. Would definitely not recommend. If you have to go the extra mile for a different car rental, I’d say that’s your best bet. Edit: I just read through the other reviews and realized this hertz location main problem is the man working the front desk. FIRE HIM!!

The day as I was suppose to pick up the rental I received a call 2 hours before stating they did not have my rental or any other accommodations. If Hertz can't follow through on their promises. I would suggest going with a company that will follow through on their responsibilities. The person I talked to really had no concern that I could not get the rental I made a reservation for to give them plenty of time to follow through on.#Hertz

I rented a car from Hertz at 875 Cox Creek in Florence Alabama. The employee was rude and seemed bothered by my questions for clarity on the rental procedure. I rented my car for 2 days and was 2.5 hours late on the return date. The worker told I could be given an hour grace period on my return. However he ended up charging me for a whole day, rather than a 1.5 hours late fee and charged me for filling the car for an extra 2-gallons, when I returned the car full. I called to speak to the supervisor and was told one wasn't available. During the midst of this conversation, I was hung up on. I have never experienced such poor customer service.

They offer it. Though check your coverage some car insurance companies insure the driver as well as your vehicle meaning whatever you drive you are covered.
Full coverage is required or you'll have to pay 55.00 a day for their insurance
