Supposedly a famous place with a lot of history. We went here for a work happy hour and I have no complaints. It was a Thursday evening, not too busy, decent food, decent service. Seemed like a standard Irish pub. The chicken and mashed potatoes was quite good.

I came on Saturday at noon. It was quiet. The bartender was friendly and quick with my order. I got a 7&7 and a Stella Artois spent $18.00. I will be returning.

Open at 11:30am, The Irish Bank opens a bit late for a weekend brunch. I came here a few times in 2020/2021 and they were closed. Previously, this was one of our favorite happy hour after-work bars when I worked at 333 Bush St. Needless to say, I'm glad they are open in 2022. Today, I came here after shopping at Niketown a few blocks away and was in the mood for a full Irish breakfast. The bar was full because of the Champion's League Final soccer match. Please note, breakfast is only served on the weekends until 3pm. Their Irish breakfast $18 was good. It is served with a generous portion of baked beans. I liked the eggs, Irish sausages and black/white budding. On the menu, it states Irish bacon is included. Perhaps the chef forgot my Irish bacon because it was missing. I would have preferred Irish soda bread instead of plain toast and also Irish potato farls instead of chips/fries. If we are talking about an authentic full Irish breakfast, they should have included mushrooms and a piece of tomato. Guinness pints are $9.25. Service was excellent.

The bar was really cozy and homey inside but we opted to sit on one of the tables outside as there were several tables available to enjoy the breezy weather. We had two bartenders who were fantastic this evening. My party was drinking 805s and I had a light and refreshing cucumber gimlet. There is was red lights outside so my photo aren't the best. I highly recommend this place for late night drinking!

Sean Daly and the shams were only scheduled to play on Saturday 12th March at 1.30 for the parade day. They were playing in Portland on St Patricks Day.
I have not seen any inside but the alley is dog friendly
No they close at 2pm. You were six hours too late.
I don't know the year but it is over a hundred years old and started out as an actual Bank. You could message the Irish Bank through their website if you are wanting to know more of the history.
Yes, we brought our 15lb terrier and sat on the outskirts of the tables outside, it was on the busy side and the waitress was moving pretty fast through the tables. I didn't want her to get in the way.. They brought her water and we all had a wonderful time.
