The best guitar store in the Bay Area, they focus on quality built Guitars and carry some of the best brands out there, unlike the cheap stuff you see at many big box stores, this place knows how to choose a quality instrument and you could be sure that anything you buy from them what do you well!

Gryphon specializes in acoustic string instruments and accessories, especially guitars. They carry the full line of Martin and Taylor guitars, and many boutique brands. Their service department is a certified Martin 1833 shop, and does very good work. They have friendly personalized service.

The repair shop is operated by magicians. They are true masters of their craft. I could not be happier with the work they performed on my J200. Highly, highly recommend for any repairs. Their selection of acoustics is amazing as well. And to top it all off, everyone there is extremely friendly. No grumpy guitar shop guys anywhere to be found. Love it.

Helpful bunch of staff. We were looking to get a nylon string guitar for beginner and Michael was just awesome! Ask for him if you happen to go to the store and I assure you that you'll have a great experience! Everyone in the store is helpful but Michael's 30+ years of experience is a big difference!

Gryphon would be a great place to get that work done! :)
Yes. Large selection of strings.
Yes, we do accept trade-ins and we should have a Waterloo archtop coming in at the end of the month. Are you local? If so, you can bring your guitar in at any time for an appraisal. Regards, Michael
They will restring for a fee. But they will show you the way when you buy the strings.
Yes, they deal in rare used instruments
Call Gryphon and ask.
