We hiked up the dunes trail. It was very windy. Oh my gosh the view from the top was amazing! We saw seals playing in the ocean and some basking on rocks. At the very top we watched as 3 people scaled down the cliff. Down below the beaches were beautiful. Parking was very limited. But the ranger at our campground told us we could find parking on Greenwood not too far from the trail.

Very short but awesome experience. Little parking on top of the hill. If you drive down you will find a long strip of parking. $15 with debit card. I went on a sunday it was packed waited over 30min to find parking but found a spot. Worth every step

One of our very favorite beaches. During the week is cost 6 dollars to park all day. The weekend was 8. It's clean and beautiful. There is a small simple hike through beautiful wildflowers. Gorgeous views from the stop. From what I saw it's not stroller friendly. Dogs are not allowed because of the wildlife that lives there. The one day we went there were many pods of dolphins, whales and sea lions. I have seen people rock climbing. I highly recommend this place. Clean bathrooms. Oh and they except card and cash for payment.

What an awesome place. Make sure you look down when you're hiking...tons of sea lions that sunbathe right on the beach! The tide pools are awesome...lots of sea life and cool crustaceans! Parking is tough, especially on the weekends. But the walk over from the street parking is worth it!

Yes, 15 on weekends and 8 on week days. There is always plenty of parking on week days and is of easy access for someone like me that can't walk long distances.
Many peoples ashes have been scattered here ... My mothers included ... Never seen any indication of who or where ashes were scattered
Currently there is a curfew and some restrictions. Beaches appear to still open. BEST to check the City of Los Angeles web page. Sorry couldn't be of more assistance. Stay safe
Point Dume was named after a French priest whose last name was Dume, pronounced “Doomay”. I grew up on Point Dume, it was a great place to be kid in the 1960’s and 70’s.
Yes, one nice feature is that the parking lot is very close to the sand and water so you don't have to carry your coolers very far. Just keep in mind on busy warm weekends the parking lot can fill up fast so come early
Point Dume, is handicap accessible.. It is true, there all trails, unsuitable for handicap walkers, but most weddings are held in the Sandy Beach area; near to handicap parking. You should have no problem, participating in the Sandy area; Wedding Ceremony.. . Best wishes,
Yes yes most definitely but you cannot drive there you got to walk there
Not allowed on the beach nor the trail. In can only be in the parking lot. This is not a dog beach. It is a protected area.
I've never seen a drone there, and I hope I never do. I like to enjoy nature minus any intrusion. Bad enough they have ATVS patrolling the sand.
This is a residential area, a very wealthy residential area. There are no restaurants close. But surly within 10 minutes there is. I dont remember seeing signs that said no dogs. Dogs were o Present
Great, but lots of strong waves out here. Just be careful as we have spotted many seals and dolphins swim around the area. Lifeguards are on duty
Interesting obsrvation. But I dont think so. It's probably a different place. In the movie the house is said to be in Malibu but its actually located in Lojolla San diego. https://beam.land/real-estate/tony-stark-s-actual-iron-man-mansion-goes-up-for-sale-1671
Theres a parking area right by showers at the base of the point ... There isnt much parking by the homes
Yes is bad
I take my dog to heathers cliff which is the pretty walking area over looking the shore but i do not believe they are dog friendly at the beach itself unfortunatly
I want to say about a mile to a mile and a half. Carrying Babies it absolutely is possible. I've carried mine there multiple times. Its a gentle trail lots of sand though. The only faily steep part is the switchback going up from the beach, but its not steep like the Chumash Trail.
Negative. Also, I don't think you could be able to safely take a disabled person up the hill, consider steep uneven path. Also, forget about going down the stairs to the beach.
No fires on the beach (except in designated fire pits, that's a state law) which unfortunately means no BBQ...unless you have an electric grill?
