Went in with a DSLR I needed professional repairs on. Instead of just being upfront and telling me they don’t really work on digital cameras, the clerk tried messing with the settings and fixing it themself. I’m happy for help and I appreciate the intention, but what I needed was a professional technician. It became increasingly clear as the conversation continued that the clerk didn’t really know much about DSLRs. I went in with a consistent autofocus issue, and they switched it to live view and thought they’d fixed it. If you’re not sure why that’s telling: live view and standard viewfinder mode use two different systems to achieve focus. Other than that they suggested I was using my settings incorrectly, which I can appreciate: a lot of people aren’t good with electronics and some of their suggestions might well have fixed the issue for a different user. It still felt exasperating, because I wouldn’t have brought it in if it was something google could fix. I would have appreciated it if the clerk was just honest that this was outside they’re expertise. I think they heard me say “autofocus issue” and immediately thought I was kind of a dumby : / At any rate, I wouldn’t recommend bringing a digital camera here; however, if you’re shooting analogue than you should disregard this review. I think that’s what these guys really do.

Update: this is the only place I go to! Everyone is so welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. Super kind people! Very quick, high quality services. I got my 35mm film sent to me less than a day later.

Yes, but first we transfer it to a DVD and then an mp4 file is created. $12.50 to produce mp4 files from a DVD. We can fit about 2 hours of tape on a DVD. Cost is $24.95 for a single tape to DVD. Additional tapes can be burned to the same DVD as long as the running time is 2 hours or less, with a $10.00 per additional tape charge.
Yes! Call us or bring in your roll. Age and heat can affect the film quality, but we can certainly give it a try! Prints and scanning are also available. 541-485-1771 M-Th 12-5

Thank for you for your question. 8mm, super 8, and 16mm, with or without sound, is 18¢ a foot with a $35.00 minimum. The VHS and other video tape formats are $24.95 for up to 2 hours. If the recordings are short we can add additional tapes for $10.00 each. In other words if you have 3 tapes and they all fit in a 2 hour time, it would be $24.95+$10.00+$10.00. Duplicate DVD's are $12.50. The discs you get can be titled, and 4 still frames of your video are displayed on the cover and we'll as on the disc itself. Please call us if you have any other questions.
We do buy used gear, but most of it is 35mm or 120 film cameras and accessories. The digital cameras that we buy are older (approximately 3 to 6 years old) but still are serviceable cameras. Your camera is a bit too new for us, but thank you for thinking of us!
We can make scans, and then prints, from the smallest viewmaster images to 8"x10", including glass plates. We can handle prints up to 20"x30" for scanning and then make prints up to 44"x 120". The cost is higher for some of the scans of older negatives and transparencies as it is more time consuming.
