Beautiful lake and campground very quiet and peaceful my husband and I have been going here for awhile now because it’s not too busy and I like to walk so it’s a great place until a park ranger pulls up on you and ask for your ID. For what reason I don’t know. I’ve been out there many times and this is the first time a park ranger pulled up on us acting like we was doing something wrong. I believe it was because we were BLACK.... I pay my taxes like everybody else and if it’s a “whites only” park they need to put a sign up this has ruined my experience there and will never be back. I hate that because it’s a beautiful park and lake.

My great uncle had property that was used for the lake and haven’t been there in about 50 years. I am related to Elvis and my grandmother taken care of Elvis (her nephew) when Evils was born because his mother was still in the hospital due to medical complications after the birth of Elvis and Arron. My aunts and uncles grew up with Elvis but hasn’t been publicized and that’s ok

Do Not Waste Your Time!!!!! This park was horrible!!!! Completely clear cut timber after being hit by tornado. Only 2 little fishing piers to fish from, otherwise you really need a boat to fish this lake. Expensive charge $5.00/person to fish. Park is very poorly maintained. Bathrooms do not have any doors, toilet paper, soap dispensers or paper towels. The Campers ragged and appear to live there long term. We defiantly want be going back here unless it's just to put in boat to fish.

Not a specific swimming area. But you can Wade and splash around a bit, close to shore, by the fishing dock. Just watch out for boats and fishing gear. I don't remember how much for a day camping was around $300 a month.
I don't remember there being any cabins, I stayed in a camper
Its okay they drained the lake as of recently
NOT at the sites. Only a dump station on your way out. E & W ONLY at sites.
When you're coming in to dock or out to the lake it's courteous not to disturb the fishermen who may be fishing from the fishing dock. Other than that I don't recall. Hope that helps.
No cabins. Only camp sites.
There is... but Tombigbee State Park might be the better spot for tent camping.
