We are excited to have solar panels up on our house now! From the first meeting to when they got turned on it was a little less than 2 months, which we were impressed by. A couple steps along the way that was more on the city side took some check ins from us to make sure things were being scheduled, but other than that (and maybe it was us being impatient), all went smoothly! The installers were efficient, communication was always quick even when we would text asking questions and they never made us feel like we were being annoying 😂 We’re excited to see how they end up balancing out energy wise and are happy to have gone through Solgen Power!

We just finished building our home in December 2021 and have always thought it would be fun to go solar, but were worried about the cost. Solgen's team helped walk us through Washington's 0-down solar program and the tax credit and we decided to go for it. They did a fantastic job! Everyone was very eager to help and answer my endless questions, and the whole process was super easy. Installation took 1 day to physically get the panels on the roof and 1 day to swap our meter and get it all plugged in, and within seconds we were overproduction and "selling back" to the grid! Overall very happy we made this decision and Solgen was amazing to make it happen!

Very easy process, they handled all the paperwork and permits. Very glad we went solar when we did. The city and our power company took a while for their inspections to get us on the net metering program, but other than that it was very quick.

Love our new solar panels!! Solgen Power was the best choice! We read other reviews and one of the things that sold me was a review that stated they keep you informed during the whole process so you aren't left guessing or wondering. It was spot on. I received regular texts letting me know where they were at in our journey. Everything went quite smoothly, even in the dead of winter. They contracted the roofers, because we needed a new roof and managed that whole process for us. I can't say enough about this wonderful company!!

Questions & Answers

I understand I have to stay connected to my local PUD. Do I still have to pay them for connection charges and Demand Charges? The Ruralite just had an article that said that that could not be offset with power credits.

Connection charges will continue to be in place as long as your are connected to the utility company. Demand charges go do in proportion to the amount of electricity that you pull from the grid.

Is it possible to be completely off the grid, and be completely solar?

Yes, you are able to go completely off grid, but it requires a very battery bank. Most of the systems that we install are grid tired since most utilities offer free net metering at this time.

Can my existing system be modified to accommodate a car charger

A car charger won’t pull directly off of the solar panels, but it will use power that is produced by your system. You will need to tie in your charger into a 50 amp breaker on your main electrical panel.

When installed, is there a guarantee of producing enough power. I am on oxygen and can't have this not work.

Unless you have a battery storage with the solar panels, when the power goes out your panels don't priduce.

It comes to you in the form of a Credit when you file your taxes after your solar is installed.
