Went tonight for dinner after reading so many great reviews on a FB group, drove from Williamston. The food was delicious however, I have to drop stars because the service was horrible. The place was empty when we got there, the waitress came over put water in the table and stated "what else to drink"...no hello, no welcome at all. Waited forever for her to come back, during which time we saw her give bread and read specials to another table..we didn't get bread or have any idea there were specials. Asked for recommendations and all she said was "veal", we asked the host for recommendations and he said "trust your waiter"! He didn't even give us a chance to say she wouldn't give us any! We ordered shrimp parmesan, she came out with shrimp scampi and stood there with it saying "I punched in the wrong meal" and waited there for us to say we'd take it, well it's not what we ordered, so we said we'd wait. By the time it finally came out I was already finished with my meal and my husband had to eat alone! Normally I'd be okay if service was a bit slow, especially with shortages today, but we were there early, place was not busy at all, plenty of other servers walking around smiling, she was just miserable and made the experience not worth it.

Stopped by Sciortino's for lunch and had a very pleasant experience. We were very pleased with the menu choices as well as the food and the decor. Very good experience!

This is my FAVORITE Italian restaurant!!!! Tony and Joanne Sciortino are originally from N.Y. and owned restaurants there. After moving to S.C., a few years ago, they opened up their first restaurant here. They welcome you into their restaurant, and give you personalized service. The food is delicious, whether it’s a ‘special of the day’, or a menu item. Tony offers fresh fish dishes daily. Some of my favorites menu items are Veal Marsala, JoAnne’s Specialty, Chicken Parmigiana, Pizza and Spaghetti with meatballs.
