What's the purpose of having empty trucks lined up a mile long on the scale? It's unsafe and very time consuming.

Odd how some people call the DOT racist and "scumbags" and end up being cited for violations. This particular scale house has performed FOUR Level I inspections on my truck and my trailers over the last few years and never got a violation. Why? Because I keep up with my maintenance and paperwork as well as logbook. THAT IS EVERY DRIVER'S RESPONSIBILITY. I have no problem with any DOT officer that wants to cite drivers which are too lazy to keep their required paperwork in order or have vehicles that shouldn't even be on the highway because of lack of maintenance.

Pretty cool dot inspector, could have gotten some tickets and oos, but he liked my attitude, let me fix a couple things, then sent me on. Remember folks, treat them like you want to be treated, and they'll treat you the same. They have a job to do, just like we do. Also, treating them bad will only cost you in the end.
