I'm a 75 year-old Viet Nam veteran. For the most part I recieve excellent healthcare. The enormous size of the faculty can be difficult. Appointments and follow up are continuing to improve.

I wanted to mention that the valet parking at the veterans emergency Hospital on Wilshire in Los Angeles it’s not the greatest. They have terrible attitudes and I witnessed a few of them driving consumers cars in a not-so-safe fashion.

Not the best experiences here. I am a disabled combat vet honorable. Junior Dr misdiagnosed me, I demanded to see a real Dr. The surgeon comes in. Takes 2 seconds to look at my injury tells pretend doc the Veteran is clearly right shaking his head as he left. Got called a racist because I wasn't the right race by receptionist. The conversation was about the color of clothing. Receptionist overheard what she wanted. Race wasn't even a factor in the conversation until she jumped in. There are quality Doctors there but thats mostly senior staff. Most are just guest medical students pretending I mean learning on Veterans who should be a priority instead of guinea pigs. VA /Feds don't allow you to sue them for malpractice. I wonder how many times the words oops, my bad, that didn't work- have been uttered in that place.... Veterans ALL Veterans deserve quality medical care even the ones kicked out with a dishonorable. How many service men and women have lost benefits over lashing out or taking drugs from PTSD in service... Sad state of affairs

I went at the wheelchair clinic. 1st I was a little upset because they took too long to get me into my appointment, but then came to understand what was going on. A panel of about 8 people assisted me by getting me a powered wheelchair and helping me out otherwise. Yeah the staff at the frontwere a little unfriendly but the people in the back were great. They are e also going to assist me, by helping me get me a lift for the wheelchair.

Hello sir, You need to go to the records office (at the VA) and sign some forms in order for them to release the records that you need. Just ask at the front desk and they'll direct you to the records office. I believe it's in the basement. Good Luck Bud
Just ask the Information desk
Contact individual care providers that are billing you. Let them know VA pays your Medical Expenses. Contact your Congressional Representative if you have any issues.
Yes.
Go to your local va social services, and they will begin the process for you.
I would imagine you should be able to file it on line .
Ground floor room 0061
No. Just go. If you have an appoin6, just bring your ID.
On the south side of Wilshire, about 200 yards Southwest of the hospital in building 401. You can park in the West side parking lot and walk over.
If you're going to the ER, the answer is no. Depends on what type of business you're doing.
Yes
I'm a Veteran, not a med student. But I would try to access the campus paper and/or information ezine.
Not sure, but if you get in touch with one of the Veteran Service Organizations (i.e. DAV) or maybe the Volunteers Services at the VA hospital they might be able to get a more definite answer for you. Hope your relative is doing ok.
The Wilshire va in Westwood has all kinds of programs for senior veterans 😇 co there first and only GREAT PLACE FOR VETERANS
You might find his records in V. A. offices in Washington d.c. It would help if you know his branch of service.
Idk that one. Sorry
Where do the patients live who get chemotherapy and they're staying there at the hospital
You can get a legal alternative there is called a HINQ, pronounced hink. You can get it same day at any federal building serving veterans.
info desk building 500
Visiting hours depends on the unit it is best to call the main number and the extension of the floor the patient is on to be for certain sir
Just get the veteran to walk in to the VA emergency room or go to the business office and ask for help. VA has some good new programs and they want to help, totally new attitude towards the Veteran. Also call the "wounded Warrior project" they can help with psychiatric and medical issues. So just call or walk into any VA facilities, the help is there its not like before. I'm a disabled veteran and I'm getting the help I need. Good luck
There is a location downtown near Union Station on Temple, you can try walking into that facility, or simply calling the number for an appointment. They may make you go to their main office in West LA first to get you settled in the California system.
