It was ok. The river camp sites and bathhouses were good. However, the cabin we were in was terrible. Open the door and get slapped in the face with an intense musty mildew smell. I laid in bed all night wondering if I was breathing in mold. Yuk! The river sites were ok but forget having a large group with multiple vehicles. There was plenty of room but the staff constantly harassed us about extra cars and insisted we park a mile away at the entrance and shuttle everyone by golf cart. Talk about inconvenient with small children and old people! Next time I will forget wasting money on a rickety, smelly, cramped and dilapidated cabin and just go tent camping. We paid almost $200 a night!! Having seen the cabin, no way I would have paid more than $40 a night. Live and learn. I'd rather sleep in the car than spend another night getting the black lung. I'd tent or RV camp here again but not sure I'd do another large group/family camp out.

If you like hearing only a peaceful bliss of rushing water, bring your RV here, or like I do and rent the RVs they offer on-site. What's better? A hotel room with people who are right outside your door, or for the same price you can have your own rv on the river? Cook there in or grill outside the rv with the onsite bbq. You can drive 10 minutes and visit local restaurants close by too. I love this place! On a budget with no kids? Ask for the smallest rv. The middle space is the best space for a couple OR on a budget with 1 or 2 kids. IF you have kids OR just want the most room, I do recommend the 3rd RV that is a 5th wheel. The 3 are side by side at the very end of the sites. The river WAS so loud when I went that I couldn't hear the people at the next camp site over. You can hear the water inside the rented camper at night too, so there is no escaping the sounds of the water, which may not be for everyone, but I love it! There is also a small playground out of site, but inside the gates, in walking distance for kid entertainment, to go along with swimming and relaxation. Also, this site may be right off of hwy 441 but when you enter the gates, you might as well be 100 miles away from the highway because you see nothing but woods and hear nothing but peaceful water to enjoy! I can't wait to revisit and have referred several people to visit the rental RVs!

We stayed at River at the Gorge and rented an RV from Windy Sky. Great little setup. Clean, well stocked, and roomy. We enjoyed our location and was happy to have access to a RV that could be put on a site of our choosing.

We do. We are completely booked up for October 26-28 but have sites available that week. You can book sites online at www.riverfallsatthegorge.com
The campground is River Falls at the Gorge and yes they allow pets but they have to be on a leash at all times, picked up after and not allowed in the common buildings
We have one pet friendly RV. River Sands. There is a 25.00 pet fee per pet max 2 small dogs. The campsites themselves are all pet friendly if tenting
