This place was amazing and beautiful. Kids had a blast swimming. About a twenty minute hike to get to the river. Nice beautiful day on the river tubing.

Very nice hike I've done a few times now. I did not expect all of the parts of the trail that go uphill so be prepared for that. Here are some photos of the river taken my first time there.

Gorgeous river/rapids views! Again, I'm not a hiker but the areas of the trail with boardwalks were great. Otherwise, you have to be careful on the natural trails. But it was worth it once we got down to the rapids area. So beautiful 😍 except for the snake.

Beautiful and breathtaking! It was a joy hiking these trails as well as relaxing in the river! Definitely bring some water shoes and a towel. Be sure to buy your nature passes online! They’re is no ticket booth but park rangers scout the preserve.

Do I have to pay if I just want to day hike?

Yes, you need a land pass to access this trail. You can find one at the Georgia Department of Natural Resources website: gadnr.org Liscenses are valid for one year, a fishing license is less expensive than a land use license and still allows you to hike. Most libraries also have a day pass you can check out that will allow you to hike parks for free.

I wouldn't advise rafting or tubing there, lots of rapids and big rocks. But if you do, be safe!
