I worked here for my first nursing assignment (PN) and I must say the staff / management here are wonderful. Never have I had a more pleasant experience with work. Not only did they make sure that I felt welcomed, but they also helped me grow as a nurse. Thank you to my midnight team on unit 700! You guys rock and will truly be missed! Thank you for your hospitality and treating me like I was a staff nurse there and a part of the Chula Vista Family! ❤️

I have a really good friend that lives here. When I 1st moved in it was hard for him because he was use to being independent. But after settling in he grew to love this place. The place is always clean. The staff is always eager to help. In the food is not that bad

This is a park like setting. Proud to honour our men and women who help protect our freedom. I feel humble when I talk to some of these men who gave so much and have seen there fellow solders and friends give even more. Every time I leave there I feel more proud to be an American and patriotic.

Why arn't anyone there doing their job? No wonder there isn't a place where you can tell about the problems there. The people are truly lazy and NOT doing their jobs and taking care of the people as they should.

How does one schedule a tour of the Chula Vista Veterans' Home? I'll be in San Diego for a widower's workshop on the weekend of July 13/14. I'd like to schedule a tour immediately before or immediately after that weekend. Or on Sunday, July 14th.

They have tours every Tuesday and Thursday at 1:00PM. No reservations needed. Just show up.

The waiting list is subject to a number of things, disability, age, income, who's referring you. Last I observed, 3 to 6 months depending on availability of the level of care. Go visit, and pick up the application.
