Came here for lunch sushi. The service was good but the sushi was low quality. Small portions, strange tasing rice, extreme use of sause. There was no flavor to the sushi rolls. The waitress was kind enough to return the order.

Service was average. Kaki panko was delicious with a perfect dipping sauce. The crab and Asiago dip with naan was great. As for the sushi, it wasn’t the best. We got basic rolls so the Caterpillar and eel maki. The eel sauce drizzled over both were very salty and overpowering. The rice was a mix of normal soft rice with some hard grains which was not good. Also the eel in the maki was very fishy tasting, not fresh at all.

We stopped here as we were bar hopping in downtown. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The sizes of the rolls are slightly smaller than usual sushi rolls. The drinks were pretty good and the service was also great. We would come here again.

At the Nama Sushi Bar we had the Crab and Asiago dip appetizer which was great, haven’t had anything like that at a sushi bar before. We both got a lunch roll special, I had the Tuna Crunch roll which tasted fresh and went well with soy sauce. My partner had the pizza roll which was really unique, with a combination of familiar and surprising flavors. We both had the miso soup and house salads as well. The house salad had the best ginger dressing on it, the miso soup was good but nothing different than other places. The sushi bar had great vibes and we definitely recommend it. Their menu is somewhat limited so if you are dining with a picky eater be sure to check the menu beforehand.
