The theater was nice and clean. We attended the venue for the comedy show, "Bored Teachers." They had three different drink and food sections and it helped make the lines shorter for food prior to the show. The security staff were helpful in finding our seats. Even though they had some technical difficulties with a video at the beginning of the show, it was worth the wait. I highly recommend this venue!

A good venue. No complaints on sound, lights or seating neither security. Easy parking and access. Unfortunately some attendees have too much to drink, disregard common respect for performer artists, ushers and audience 😕 kept, standing blocking view, being nonsense or pretending to dance?

Love the Magnolia! Great to see a concert here! Up close and personal with the Man, Joe Jackson.

A great addition to the cultural scene, that has been sorely needed in East County. After a major update and upgrade, made possible through a partnership with Live Nation, this theater-type venue has been a godsend for El Cajon. With a state-of-the-art sound system and lighting to match, there really is not a bad seat in the house. I've seen about 6 artists perform there since the Grand Opening in the fall of 2019. Very eclectic mix-- just check out the website. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the food and drink vendors inside. Way expensive, and very little choice. I realize that it's not dinner theater, but there is so much to choose from in local cuisine, and surely we can do better than nachos, pretzels and school cafeteria-level overpriced mini pizzas! Overall, going to a concert here is a very positive experience, friendly staff, beautiful place. Give it a try!

I Read that is is around 1200 seats + or -
There is a $4 fee per ticket when purchasing at the box office
I'm sure you can. It's a new venue and I'm certain they're ADA compliant.
There's premium parking right next to the venue. $$ Not sure how much. About 50 feet from that is a free parking structure. It's not a far walk.
No age restrictions. Every show hosted at the Magnolia has been all ages. As California provides new clarification, the web site will be updated with any new COVID and/or bag policies.
From the Magnolis's FAQ, "All sales are final and refunds are only allowed in limited circumstances (for instance, when an event is canceled—or where an event is postponed, rescheduled, or moved, and the Event Organizer has approved refunds for that event). See our Purchase Policy for more information."
Quite a few seats per row as there's no middle aisle. Something like forty or more, but pretty wide walkways.
The Dennis DeYoung was not cancelled that was March 7th.. but knows now. I'd call. Good luck!
Unsure, check their website
Maybe if you have insurance or if you contact the ticket office with a good reason.
Children under 2 can get into shows for free. They will still need a ticket to scan into the building, but you can stop by the box office and get a free ticket voucher that will scan at the doors.
Yes, there's plenty of free parking in the structure next to the court house.
I lost my WALLET there. I called the box office the next day and they had it.
Hi Judi, Once operational, The Magnolia Box Office will be open on Fridays from 10am to 6pm. On show days, the Box Office will be open 2 hours prior to door time and stay open until 30 minutes prior to show end. The box office for the venue is located at the main entrance. The main entrance is located next to the main plaza in front of City Hall and is a short distance from the corner of Rea Ave and Sulzfeld Way.
Hi Naomi, The theater will be run by Live Nation for venue booking. Please forward your contact information if you would like me to connect you with someone from Live Nation.
Hi Allen, thank you for your question. The Magnolia Performing Arts Center is expected to open this Fall. We will share details as they become available.
