I'm wondering if anyone had died in the building and if yes, then what are the circumstances? In a building as old and diverse as this one, the chances are pretty high. I think the paranormal activity is very important to consider when considering a place to live.

Terrible terrible terrible. I woke up one day and was literally covered in what I found out to be bed bug bites. Now I know first hand I didn’t bring the bed bugs so it leaves me to believe that this place is infested with bed bugs. My body in my entire 30 years of life has never ever been so itchy. I hate to say it they should destroy the building to the ground and start all over again

Well let's see. Very affordable. Good staff, staff does their best. Frank is very cool. So is Danny the manager very helpful. I'm just happy I found a place . Wish it was bigger but what do you expect. You want better? than set higher goals. Thanks for a place to stay.

This place is what you make of it. I would say most people would not enjoy living here, but it’s a great resource for people in a state of transition. I’ve made up my room nicely. I have everything I need and I’ve managed to organize my room very efficiently. Can’t beat the rent in San Diego. If you have a car, you will have to pay additional money for the parking garage next door, so keep that in mind. That adds an extra $200 to your expenses each month. Still a bargain compared to everything else around here though. Also, no internet here, so you better have a good phone plan. There are bottom of the barrel type people that live here, but if you keep to yourself and focus on yourself, it’s a great place to grow as a person. There are two grocery stores, a laundromat, and a 24 hour gym nearby, and of course you’re close to just about everything downtown.

They have two different rooms the loaf 550dlls and the big room but I do no you have to call the manager
The rooms don't have air conditioning but there is a ceiling fan in every room that does a good job of keeping them cool.
The Irish Pub that was located at the south east part of the Golden West closes a few months back. I get the impression that anything that has to do with fun or customer service has been removed by management.

According to what I was told by staff there are 8 or 9 rooms that have a bathroom in the room but they are infrequently available. First priority is giving to people already staying there then it's available to the public. Since those rooms only become available when someone moves out, and there is a long waiting list of current guests, the chances of someone being able to walk in and get one of those rooms is practically non-existent. My understanding is that someone can be on that waiting list for 2-3 years or longer. I hope this helps you! 🙂
Yes 550 a month and 300 deposit plus 35 for application fee "non-refundable" for room area of 6'x12' with sink and toilet /showers shared down the hall.

Yes. This is because announced pest treatments once a month. You can be present if you like but I am usually at work. Outside of this no evidence (new management- past 2 years) Id say no. Previously there were housekeeping and security staff with master keys and There were questions but now there is cctv monitoring and said staff is all laid off. No is the current answer
One of the last affordable options in SD. Small room w/ sink. May bring own microfridge/ microwave but no kitchen or heavy cooking allowed. Shared bathroom/ showers. Bring a fan also no a/c
Tou must apply (fee) and pass a background checkfirst. This is when rooms are available. Since they are doing extensive renovations at the moment- many rooms are unoccupied while being refurbished. Call Good steward management and inquire about current/ future openings and income/ credit requirements.
