This is not the trailhead or the original camping area, taken over by new owners!!! This is the rave, and glass bottle breaking low lifestyle, razor wire 5900 address. The original campground is still owned and operated at 6100. Clean and half the price. No glass allowed.

Beautiful views, moderate hike (up and down ALOT) for most of the trail, becomes extremely difficult just before reaching the hot springs. We had to turn around because we knew the journey back up from springs would be too difficult for us.

My husband and I enjoyed the hike. We did this on December and the weather was perfect. There is little to not shade so when hiking in the summer be prepared. Brings lots of water and snack but remember to take all your trash with you when you leave. Additionally, if you’re not an experienced hiker it is smart to bring trail markers so you won’t get lost going back to your car. There are other trails one mistake and you might end up to mexico or canada LOL (pct). I do not recommend bringing your kids since its clothing optional and you might see naked folks. Just be respectful of the place and people truly a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. I will say this is a moderate hike I suggest to wear hiking shoes and maybe a hiking pole cause the last stretch of the hike going towards the hot springs is very steep.

Hiked on June 30, 2019. This trail is about 2.5 miles to PCT. There is not much shade. At junction of PCT head right and in a little bit you will see the hot springs and swimming area. Yeah there were naked people. Trail has no markings at trail head (I didn't see the sign shown in other guys pictures). Park around the bridge. Trail on right. If you drive to gate, turn around. There are no signs on trail at all, but trail very easy to follow. Apparently there is an easier and longer route on left before very steep section, but I missed it. Steep section is very steep. Be prepared with good shoes. Again, no trail signs at PCT junction. Just remember where trail is on return. I think next time I return I will try trail on other side. I'm not sure if you have to pay to park though.

I dont see why not. This hike is a bit arduous and not that many people use it. Id give it a 6 or 7 difficulty out of 10.

Is there parking

Yes there is ample free parking along the road next to the trailhead.
