Dogs seemed to be fine after picking them up. A little weird that both times I called the main guy Ryan wasn't there, and I wasn't able to go inside and really see the whole operation. Very nice guy, but would've appreciated a little more communication.

It’s been a year since I was last at this place. I went one day and left my 2 dogs for boarding after reading the great reviews. I was leaving for a 10 day trip and was at ease seeing they would be staying at a homelike boarding place. By the first morning, I received a call my dog had passed away under their care. It was a hot sunny day. My dog was healthy as could be, no problems ever. He was only 4 human years. I was never given an explanation just that he never woke up. It was directed he not be left out long as we all know “bulldogs” can’t withstand the heat. Until this day I will assume this is what happen for he had no health issues. Think twice before you leave your beloved pets here.

Hello Jade, where the dogs stay while boarding with the RuffHouse is reviewed on a daily basis and is dependent upon a few variables such as; how many boarders we have and the breakdown of large, medium, small and teacup guests. We also consider a boarders socialization levels, temperament, disposition, health and age, if the males have been neutered and last but not least if they stay indoors, outdoors or both when they are at home. The guests that come here are extremely spoiled in their daily lives and have no problems being in common areas. More often than not large and small breed guest come together so it's not a problem keeping them with other large and small breeds. Certain breeds are just to big and strong to stay with the other guests. Having 8 different yards gives us the flexibility we need to insure their safety. In regards to Virginia's response below we do not now nor have we ever kept small breeds in a line of cages outside as all small breeds stay indoors.
You would need to contact Royal Rough house, prices may vary
They charge 25 per day.
Hello Kristen, A Royal RuffHouse is not a traditional boarding facility. We do not put our guests into cages unless it is necessary. If a boarder can jump a 6 foot fence or if they can not be around other dogs then we will put them in 12 x 12 or 10 x10 cages. Dependent upon how busy we are we also have the ability to give them their own 2000 square foot yard. Our main goal is the health and safety of all of our guests. Our clients stay at A Royal RuffHouse can be from 4 hours to a full day for Daycare or for as long as necessary for Boarding. We remain flexible to meet the needs of our customers open 365 days a year with extended hours operation. Kristen, please call (760) 948-8386 anytime to further discuss your boarding requirement or to see our facilities.
Yes we do, we just give them their own room and it's 20 per day.
At A Royal RuffHouse we never make prejudgements on any of our boarders no matter what the breed is as you can't judge a book by it's cover. We screen our boarders carefully to be sure that they will fit into our cage free environment. If we decide that the individual boarder will not do well in general population than we will give that guest a yard of his own to hang out in during their stay with us. At a Royal RuffHouse every dog gets his day in court regardless of the breed.
