Love this hidden treasure so much! Super clean and cute and walk out of your room right on the beach! Worth every penny to this girl from Chicago!

“You’re gonna be towed” this is what I was told after spending over $700 to stay here by the maid. We chose to stay at the beachfront property for our wedding and honeymoon. Everything was fine until Saturday night when the TV went out. Even though the maintenance man tried his best he could not fix it. The next morning we checked out. We decided we would like to go to the beach for a little while. So we checked our parking pass to ensure there was no time limit. Once we saw there was not a time limit and we went to the beach. We knew check-in was 3 o’clock and we were going to make sure we were gone by that time even though the parking pass did not say we had to be gone. A little while later the maid told us that if we did not leave we were going to be towed. This was a shock to me because of how much we spent and the fact that we had a parking permit that was still good for the day. When we called the front desk they were rude and offered absolutely no solutions to our problems we had while staying here. We had hopes of coming back here yearly to celebrate our anniversaries in the same place we had been married. Unfortunately due to the rude staff and the unwillingness to solve our problems we won’t be back. It was a very disappointing end to a time that was supposed to be memorable and special.

Update: fixed the plumbing. I’m here right now. DO NOT STAY HERE! Try a different beachfront hotel. Why sell rooms if the septic tanks are full? How long do these tanks have to be full, until the toilet stops working? The refrigerator and microwave don’t work. Rug and shower needs cleaning. Beyond that the location is pristine and beautiful. If inconveniences with the amenities are something that don’t bother you then I would say it’s completely worth it just having to close proximity to the beach. We enjoy the sunset every night. I’m gonna attach pictures. They are “fully booked” and our toilet stopped working. I only urinated, so barely any paper is needed for that. Anyway, the plunger is not working to unclog the toilet. So I call front desk and speak to Susan who advises me that the septic tank is full and needs to be emptied out and that the former owner did not let them know. WHY sell rooms when there is an ongoing plumbing deficiency? In Susan’s defense though she isn’t maintenance/a manager, so there is not much she can do. However NO ONE is available to her. So I ask whether maintenance can come help and she said that no one is available and we have to wait until tomorrow. I ask when they will come to empty the septic tank. She doesn’t know. I ask when maintenance can come tomorrow and she doesn’t know. She agrees that this is a horrible experience. I ask when the front desk manager comes in—7am and they can get maintenance out. When does the general manager come in—10 am. I will update tomorrow, especially since it’s day 1 of 3.

Here's an update to our stay. As I said, I was not happy with their deceptive pricing. I'll give the pros and cons of the stay itself. Location is excellent! We did not have the beach front room but the location is awesome with only steps to the beach. Nothing fancy about the room but that's not too important to us. Two issues with the room were 1) the small refrigerator did not have a door over the freezer portion so our sodas blew up in the refrigerator because it got so much colder than we expected in there. 2) the shower had nice soap dispensers on the shower wall, but one of them leaked and I didn't realize how slippery the shower floor was. Almost slipped and hit my head on the shower wall. I do expect a little more for over $200 a night.
