I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant in Sarasota, FL this evening. My wife and I are visiting from Colorado. The location is convenient, there was plenty of parking, I was welcomed upon entering the restaurant, I was seated within 3 minutes, the dining room was clean, my table was clean, my server came to take my order within 2 minutes and was friendly and efficient, the $16.99 dinner buffet was very good and had about anything you could think of and included ice cream and dinner rolls, the free WiFi worked well, and the men's restroom was clean.

Hot and Delicious from start to finish! My waitress was attentive and brought me a new drink without me even asking. Love to visit the bakery shop, and the upstairs unique boutique. I ate alone, they sat me by a beautiful fireplace. I recommend eating at the der Dutchman for fabulous service, a Great variety home cooked buffet, and an excellent dining experience.

I had the western burger with cheese and it was amazing! The flavors blend into a unique concoction of deliciousness that you don't expect! I highly recommend. I had mine without the bun so maybe mine was more flavorful that way than it would have been with the bun, not sure. Also, I had the vegetable beef soup and it was very good! I will go back for sure!

Had the buffet and a pleasant waitress. Fair variety on buffet of cod, chicken, meatloaf and roast. There was no bread to go with dinner. Fruits not fresh tasting and stayed unfilled during my visit. Broast chicken was too well done from lights. Roast was good with gravy, homemade noodles or mashed potatoes and carrots. Salad bar was pretty good but I was surprised with how many processed items were on it like the fruit and cheese. Meal otherwise was really very heavy. I could not give it 5 stars due to parking and decreased disability features. I am disabled and I was alone. Had to walk some distance to get to front door with cane. There was never any offer of help of any kind, so a disabled person alone needed to be able to walk around the buffet with no devices and a wheelchair could not. They do have shopping upstairs and an elevator to get there. Again space for WC and walker would be difficult. They did not offer their pies for dessert unless you want to buy a piece for $1 off. It was chocolate cake and bread pudding. Not exactly the Amish experience I was expecting and the people seating need to greet their guests friendly and watch where they try to seat those with physical difficulty. Could have been an unforgettable experience for travelers and local alike...but wasn't.

Hendrik van Ossenbruggen - Hello! Coffee is not included with the breakfast buffet.
Hi Gail. We will be open 10:30am-5pm (buffet only) on Thanksgiving day.
It's either 12.95 or 14.95. Something in that neighborhood. Well worth it.
Hi Clint, we sincerely apologize and are very sorry that happened. We have updated the address on our page. Thank you.
Buffet line was open. Restaurant provided gloves at the buffet. Great idea! Masks were worn when not eating
