Mr. Batara has always been someone I could trust. He is a pillar in our community and when I need support, I know I can count on him. Mr. Batara supports small businesses, and if I need advice on where to go for something, he knows where in town I can get it. We need more people in our community who support our community as Mr. Batara does.

I am genuinely pleased with the service and professionalism of this immigration law office. Mr. Batara and his team have been attentive and answered all my questions with kindness and respect. I truly felt supported throughout this process. I can proudly say I am now a citizen of the United States thanks to Mr. Batara and his wonderful staff.

Today I visited the Harvard Street Bakery with my friend Carlos Batara from Batara Immigration Law. The bakery is just minutes from Carlos' office, so we frequent the bakery quite a bit. Carlos is a huge believer in supporting small businesses and keeping it local as much as he can. Laura's cafe is one of our favorite places to go for breakfast and lunch. If you've never had her breakfast croissant sandwich, do yourself a favor and get one tomorrow. She does something with those eggs that are almost magical. Harvard Street Bakery is a hidden gem in Hemet, just like Batara Immigration Law. Did you know we had a Harvard educated Immigration attorney here in the valley? If you're local and stopped by the office to drop off paper work, make sure you make a trip over to the bakery for something sweet and/or savory. It's worth it!

Constantly changing government forms; more and more information required to trudge through all the minute details of immigration law; and the hours upon hours to try to get everything done - and done correctly, or it has to be redone!! Who has the time and expertise for all that? My fiance and I had thought of attempting it ourselves, but thankfully we made a better choice. With Carlos and Angie Batara's expert legal help, I was able to get married to my fiance approximately 20 months from the start of the process. If that seems like a long time, I can assure you that if my fiance and I were attempting to do this on our own, she would still be waiting overseas for many months or years to come. Carlos and Angie Batara make a great team to help you with the complexities of navigating continually shifting immigration laws. They have my highest recommendation!

Questions & Answers

What is your consultation fees sir.

Sunita Teji | Aug 25, 2020
Batara Immigration Law | Aug 25, 2020

I charge $80.00 for an initial consultation. Here’s why. Our appointment may take 30 minutes. It may take two hours. When you first call, I do not know anything about what it will take to succeed. Because no two cases are exactly alike, it’s unfair to your family to base your case plan and strategy on guessing. Winning requires the best possible analysis from the start of our relationship.

What is the fees to hire you as an asylum case??

I cannot answer that question without a consultation. I do not have the faintest clue what is needed for success. Maybe a particular strategy will work, maybe it won’t. Let’s say I give you a general price quote. Then you come into my office a few days later. I find out more about your case and I tell you that your case will cost more than the fee we discussed. You won’t be happy.

Do I Really Need To Hire An Attorney?

Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018
Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018

This is a hard question to answer. The answer is maybe, maybe not. It depends on the facts of your case and your understanding of the immigration system. You should think carefully about possible issues you might face on the road to permanent residency or citizenship. Sometimes, potential problems that seem small to clients are far more serious to government officials. If you know enough about immigration law to defend yourself and avoid mistakes, you may not need to hire a lawyer. Yet, since losing can mean being deported from the U.S. and separation from your spouse and family, helping yourself is not a risk you should take lightly.

What Experiences Do You Have Handling Cases Like Mine?

Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018

Without a personalized consultation, I cannot answer this question. Moreover, because no 2 cases are exactly alike, your case is different in some aspects than any other case that I have ever handled. Some cases may be similar to other cases, but your case has unique facts specific only to you and your family. That’s why taking cookie-cutter approaches to immigration law are wrong. But as an attorney who has practiced immigration law for over 20 years and helped immigrants from almost 100 countries, I’ve been fortunate to handle a wide range of legal challenges involving immigrant visas, permanent residency, citizenship, and deportation issues. Coupled with my training at Harvard Law School, I’ve learned good lawyering requires not only perseverance but also purposefulness, not only compassion but also commitment. Based on these experiences, I am confident if I can perceive legal options to win your case, I can structure solutions to improve your chances for immigration success.

Can You Guarantee That I Will Win My Case?

Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018
Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018

No, I cannot guarantee you will win your case. But I will tell you this. I refuse to take a cookie-cutter approach to your case. At our first meeting, I will dive into the ins and outs of your situation, and provide you with my opinion about the obstacles you might have to face. I will explain potential courses of action. When it comes to deciding what steps to take, you and I will reach that conclusion together. I cannot guarantee the final result. I will not make false promises. If I cannot help you, I will let you know right at the start. Once I accept your case, it’s based on my belief that I can make a difference in helping you and your family reach your immigration goals.

What Happens If You Cannot Help Me?

Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018
Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018

To help you, we need to know more about your immigration case. Before we can work with you, we need you to schedule a consultation with our office to discuss your dreams and goals, issues and obstacles. If we cannot help you, we will let you know right at the start. If we accept your case, it’s based on our belief that we can make a difference in helping you and your family reach your immigration goals.

Do You Charge For A Consultation?

Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018
Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018

I charge $80.00 for an initial consultation. Here’s why. I believe winning requires providing you with the best possible analysis from the beginning of our relationship. Many clients call my office with questions like, “What will you charge to help my husband get a green card?” I cannot answer such question with integrity until after we meet for a full and comprehensive consultation. When you first call, the reality is that I do not know anything about what it will take to win. Because no two cases are exactly alike, it’s unfair to your family and it’s unfair to my office to base fees on guessing. Consider taking your car in for repairs or visiting a dentist. Similarly, I need to sit down with you to learn more about your immigration history and personal circumstances, so that I can give you honest and genuine advice about what can help and what can hurt your efforts to obtain or maintain lawful immigration status in the United States.

How Much Are Your Fees For Handling My Type Of Case?

Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018
Batara Immigration Law | Aug 26, 2018

Almost from the beginning, most clients have thoughts like, "What will you charge to help my husband get a green card?” Or “How much will it cost to fight my father’s deportation case at immigration court?” I understand your concerns. But I suggest slowing down for a moment. You’re jumping the gun. Even though all clients worry about how much legal help will cost, I don’t think this is the best way to start your case. Instead, I feel the first question you should ask is, “What do I need to do for me, my family, and children to live together legally in the United States?” In my view, far too many people make their immigration hiring decisions based on what it’s going to cost. Sometimes, that may be the right criteria. Most of the time, it’s not. The problem is you don’t know what you don’t know. And because you don't know, I don't know. I charge for advice, guidance, counsel, and support. I cannot determine this amount until we have a full-fledged consultation.
