I had very nice people trying to take care of me. However, if you’re capable of doing for yourself, it’s not a place to go. My medicine was changed continuously and upon several requests, my Tiffany lamp still has not been returned. When I left it was as if I was just a visitor…no one even bothered to walk me out as a patient. So as a rehab facility I can’t recommend it.

If you love your loved one please do not leave them alone at this place. There is apparently no oversight regarding the conditions and protocols. This place should be evaluated by the Department of Health as people are trusting the care of their loved ones to skilled nurses and administrators who will ignore the patient as soon as family/visitors leave the facility. Expect and demand better care by placing your loved one in a reputable facility that TRULY cares and has protocols in place to ensure that a high level of care is consistently maintained by all medical professionals. The director and medical director gave specific instructions that were ignored by staff which caused situations that could have been avoided.

Love having a family member stay here! They needed a ton of therapy care after a stroke. The rehab team here is one of the best around! The Director of rehab is totally amazing, she goes out of her way to communicate with family members to make sure that transitioning to the facility is as smooth as possible! You can definitely see that she cares for every individual that she is caring for!

The Laurels of Pender team took great care of my grandfather. They were always so welcoming and friendly to our family. We really liked the coffee shop where we held a birthday party for him. I really appreciated Nurse Lisa. All the staff were great but she delivered incredible care. Thank you Pender team!
