AAA refused to tow my Chevy Bolt 5 miles across Eugene to dealer. Car would not start and needed diagnosis and repair. I mentioned I was wrapping up process of Buyback due to faulty batteries. Agent said that once I “disclosed” Chevy would be soon buying back the car, AAA would not pay (turned out to be $80) for towing.

Yes. You can obtain Mexican pesos at the AAA office. You have to order them before hand. It can take up to 5 business days for your order to come in. They do have cash packs on hand for a small set denomination. Call in to store for more information and details.
I'm not certain on the cost but I believe it's not to spendy. If I remember correctly you can add him without having to purchase a new plan. One thing to remember is that your only allotted so many Tows per year and I believe your only allotted so many service calls as well, with that being said it might be better for you to put him on his own plan. The Plus plan which is the next plan after Basic would be fine for someone of his age unless he travels a lot then I would recommend The Premium Plan. You can also call the service center in Eugene,Oregon on Monday an the girls there can help you. There great very helpful. I'm a Tow Truck operator so I speak to them regularly. Hope all this helps. AAA only sells adapter plugs, not voltage converters. Everything in our travel store can be sold to nonmembers at retail prices.
