Wks Out

Great, friendly management and staff, but douchy patrons. I've been a member since they opened as Sport & Health, and unfortunately too many douchy, roided patrons have joined this gym. They carry big duffle bags to mark their territory and block others from using equipment. They camp out in one machine for 45 minutes or longer, or block multiple machines at once. They grunt loudly, hoard equipment, and have loud, douchy conversations with each other while blocking equipment. Did I mention they block equipment??

Signed up on 4/7/22, by 5/7/22 I was able to lose 15 pounds with the help of Marcos Vargas, my personal trainer. I went to this location specifically recommended by other local moms. Clean facility with a pool and sauna. Haven't tried any of their classes yet but I heard it's fun from overhearing other patrons. I love the Kids Zone, and so does my little 2 year old, she doesn't want to leave (so I have no excuse of not going). Probably needs an overhaul of some equipment but I think they do a review of that at the end of the year. Overall I like the gym because of the cleaning crew is constantly mopping and doing their rounds. Also I noticed most patrons doing their part to wiping down before/after whatever machine or equipment they use.

The staff are so welcoming and it makes me so happy to say hi to them when I go there! Facility is very clean 24/7 so thank you custodians for your hard work! Totally recommend for anyone wanting a positive workout experience 😁!

Not the best not the worst. There are better gyms in Frederick for sure but this is the only one with a pool. It’s not what I would consider a nice place to work out but it’s nice enough. The gym has an identity crisis it brands itself as a health club but the vibe is anything but. It’s not a lifters gym. There’s just a lot going on. People love it, I would go with ehhhh it gets the job done. My advice would be decided if your going upscale or not this bottom middle of the pack stuff just doesn’t work.
