So sick of Alameda CS, they are worthless. Took 5 yrs to locate dead beat parent then he pays for 9 months, then he requests for lower payment. does not serve me correctly 3 times, CA courts system still allowed him to continue with case, lowers its to a fraction of what he was paying and now now payment for 9 months... what is CS doing NOTHING to locate him again. He is court ordered to pay 50% of medical and the CA courts want me to pay 90$ filing fee and 95$ process service fee to get it enforced... TOTAL JOKE.

If possible I would give Dept Child Support Service zero stars. What is amazing to me here in the very state that hosts Silicon Valley is how technologically inept a dept can be. I paid electronically on the 19th of the month and their "new" systems cannot process this payment in the full week and a half before the end of the month. Electronic payments are instantaneous, what could possibly take a week and a half to process?

If i can give them a 0 star, I would. I called in to get information on resetting access to my profile as a responsible parent and got hang up on! They 'upgrade' their dial-in access and wipe out 'credentials'... plus profile information online is not updated for over 3 years!! Bad attitude, bad use of tax money and bad professional courtesy ... no customer service ... was on hold for 35 minutes .... no one answer the second time around!!

Writing this review as I am on hold trying to reach someone over the phone. I am an employer who has to report some information that this department needs. It's costing me a lot of money to sit on the phone for 30 minutes already. Now someone answered, 32 minutes later. The lady was very pleasant on the phone so I upgraded from 1 star to 3 but they need to still do something about the hold.

I was told that their office had move 6 months ago and to collect some of payments they have third party company from Texas Unbelievable
No. Only pay what's court ordered. Anything extra is just because you wanted to do it.
