This was the best meal so far on my vacation. Vidal was our server. Not only was he knowledgeable about the offerings but was kind and answered all of our questions. I'm new to seafood and asked several questions about the fish and after talking to him, I decided on the blackened grouper. I have no regrets. To add to the delight of my meal, he asked about dessert. As a Celiac sufferer, desserts are usually not an option. Vidal shared the chocolate torte was gluten free. I ate tonight like it was my last meal and I have no regrets.

We had a wonderful anniversary date at the Salt Rock Grill in Indian Shores today! We got coconut shrimp & key lime oysters appetizers, bread with herbaceous oil, salad and a mini 2 bite dessert (apple crumble). The key lime oysters came with two mini buttery garlic toasts- the appetizer really needs 6 of them to pair wirh each the 1/2 doz oysters if desired because they were fantastic on the bread! The shrimp were some of the best and most tender I have ever had. My husband got the Mile High Meatloaf for his entree and I got "Rock the Boat" (fresh catch of the day- red snapper, shrimp, crab, and scallops in a cream sauce). He thought that the meatloaf was a tad salty, but good. I enjoyed the seafood in cream sauce but be prepared for a rich dish and to take some home! It pairs well with the mashed potatoes. My husband saw a dolphin in his view and we both saw 3 manatee swimming together from where we ate! Our waitress, Taylor, was fantastic and even offered to take a picture of us out on the deck. We then walked out to look at the boats that they use to catch their "fresh catch" each day! Overall it was a wonderful dining experience & time together ❤.

Salt Rock Grill is our favorite place to grab a celebratory seafood meal in the area. Seafood is not hard to find in Indian Shores but if you want to sit down, have a glass of wine, and spend a little more money - Salt Rock Grill is one of the best spots. They have a very large restaurant with views of the water from both inside and out. The back of the restaurant has an outdoor bar and seating area that is very lively. Music is a little bit loud but so are the patrons on a busy night. If you want a quieter experience, try to get an indoor window table. We had the mussels which don't come in a red sauce but rather topped with some stewed tomatoes. Still tho, the mussels were perfectly executed. Pictured here is the grilled grouper. It was light and flavorful. Very obviously fresh and well complimented by the veggie medley. Save room for dessert. We recommend the key lime pie or the chocolate cake. We will definitely be dining here again. Highly recommend.

Flip-flops with nice pants and a Polo are always fun. My concern is that your toes may be cold.
This is the location on indian shores as far as I know, at least that's the one I went to.
