Horrible in person service. I came in and asked politely for help, since it was my first time there, but they are not helpful and there are rude workers, from the check in to the counters, specifically counter 14. They don't try to understand what you need and try to get rid of you as fast as they can. They don't want to bother getting up and guide the customers when they have questions. I overheard and witnessed a worker yelling at some customers when they just had questions and those customers were being nice. Not a good experience.

The good reviews shock me. Perhaps most people are going for a simple marriage license. If you need real estate documents recorded, manage your expectations. Slow customer service (5 month estimates to get a grant deed). High fees if you want to get a certified copy sent to you with tracking. No communication with the County tax assessor or City of Oakland so there have been attempts to charge me thousands when I didn't owe anything. Wonder why you get scam mail when you buy a home or record a document? The County recorder's office doesn't do anything to prevent your info from being used by con artists.

The customer service that I received was excellent! The FedEx shipping was worth it (since I needed my documents in a hurry). So, if you're ordering from out of state please do yourself a favor and pay the extra fee for shipping. You'll be happy you did.

Yes, you can. But it all really depends on how busy it is. It's always best to get there early in the morning when they open. I paid $31 at that time.
Yes, you can. That's what I did. Got it the same day I requested it. There is a fee of $31 I believe.
I need a passport so I need a birth record that they will except. I have one but I'm told I need another one for a passport?
The is a room at the Recorders Office where the Recorded documents may be accessed by computer. Once the document has been located there are instructions for printing a copy. The copy is available at the clerk’s office in that room after completing a form with you name address & phone number. Cost is $3.50 per page. Power of Attorney Documents are recorded on occasions. However, it is rare that a Living Trust is recorded. It is a separate and distinct document which differs substantially from a Power of Attorney.
Rene C. Davidson court house is the right court house to find my divorce records in 1995?

Yes you can
I don't work at or more appropriately for the "Alameda County Clerk-Recorder Office". I'm sorry that I can't help you any more than to make you aware that you should try some other means to aquire the information which you're seeking. I seriously hope that you can find out what to do to get your sister's death certificate. Though today is Veterans Day, a holiday recognized by most levels of government in this country, and their various agencies. Though I'm quite sure that not all of them will be closed tomorrow, a Friday. With that in mind if you attempt to get what your want to aquire someone should be able to assist you with what you're hoping to receive. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. Sincerely, a concerned person who I'm sure that you mistakenly contacted, but who can only advise you on what I at least think that you should do. Again, good luck.
Yes
It is not necessary, just there to wait a little longer than normal but if you arrive early you may be married that day.
The Records dept in Alameda on Shoreline Drive is currently open Monday through Friday until 1pm. I went today and paid for offical copy of divorce and family court recommendation orders.
Online. Unless you're local. Then you get the form from the front of the building, fill it out and mail it in
They are closed. Everything is via mail. They have forms and a dropbox out front till 4p
No 😬 they have everything out side in applications with what you need : marriage license birth certificates.... but if you knock on the window door a sheriff he MIGHT come out and help you. You can call but there is a dropbox. You can go on the website also. Good Luck.
They have forms outside that you can pick up, fill out and drop off outside.
Almost a week because the fictitious name has to be publish on a local newspaper plus fees
No. They have a Dropbox outside on weekdays to submit docs/payments. Or mail them.
No, they are directing people to online services or you can pick up paper forms from a table in front and mail them in.
Not handled by this office. You need to contact the Superior Courts.
What needs to be amended?
A copy is $17
Please consult with the County Accessor's office.
Yes at the recorders office.
I am coming from Sacramento next week and need a marriage certificate from 1982. Can I get a certified copy when I come in? Are you open on Tuesday, November 26 and Wednesday, November 27th? What hours?
Not really. This is where you file forms for buying or selling real estate, or other firms required by the Uniform Commercial Code for businesses. Forms for probate etc are filed with the Superior Court. You can order forms online, or get a book from Nolo Press that explains the process and forms.
My sons birth certificate from Dec 17,1963 has his first name spelled wrong. Can it be corrected after all these years. Because I am his mother he has asked me if I could have the spelling of his name corrected to the proper spelling. It is spelled as Jeffery Terry on his birth certificate. The correct name is spelled as Jeffrey Terry
Contact San Francisco County
You can get the forms to amend the document there, but you would need to send it to the State for processing. There is a fee to process.
Check the website for all current fees

Birth Certificates are managed by the California Dept. Of Public Health. As such Alameda County has to abide by certain rules and regulations with regards to making these types of record requests. So the short answer is NO. They cannot speed up the process.
