I love this trail, especially early before the heat hits. In the past I have climbed it to watch the Sunrise over the valley and it is quite breath taking. It will take roughly 50 minutes to an hour to climb. Take water with you for certain.

I have done this trail countless times. It is a serious workout! From the parking lot to the crest of the table top it is approximately 1.23 miles. That 1.23 Miles is between 35% and 45% grade the entire way up. There are only a few plateaus all along that path that exists at all. And they are all extremely short maybe 10 to 15 Steps perhaps. I would call this Trail a workout Trail. Lower Table Rock is much much easier even though it is longer. The bathrooms are atrocious however. Plan on not using them! My review is of the trail not the amenities. Update: I go there regularly and the bathrooms are deplorable. There needs to be better County upkeep or the facilities as all prices have gone up across the board. And I am speaking in particular of County Parks Etc. I would think some of those funds could be apply to maintain bathrooms much better. It is an ongoing problem and there is real negligence that is not thought of or considered in regards to bathrooms. Another example is Joseph Stewart State Park. As soon as the county received that Park the bathrooms are no longer good. They were fantastic when the state ran it. County, I mean this as constructive criticism. Please mandate to your workers to keep the bathrooms clean.

Beautiful place. No fees, typical forest service pit toilets at the trailhead. NO DOGS allowed. It is a short hike but all up hill, 700 ft elevation gain. Lots of ankle twisting rocks. Beautiful views of the Rouge Valley on a clear day. You can see all the way to Pilot Rock. Well used trail, lots of exercisers, families, women, feels safe. Watch the kids by the edge of the mesa, there are some big drop offs. Benches to rest on along the trail, no benches on top.
