My aunt moved to Cypress at age 95 in 2018, and transferred to their memory care unit several months ago. From the first day we arrived until she recently died , the experience for both her and myself was uniformly positive, indeed, better than either of us could have expected. We were greeted with enthusiasm, the care that she received over these years exceeded both of our expectations, and her passing was in an atmosphere of love, kindness and genuine concern. In particular she enjoyed the elegant dining room, the opportunity to share excellent meals with three others, and the fitness and recreational activities. In all the times that I visited her, I have never seen (or heard from her) of an employee displaying annoyance to a resident, and Cypress is maintained with a pristine cleanliness. They were very proactive in dealing with Covid, putting the safety of the residents above all else--and they were successful. The Cypress staff has struck a good balance between professionalism and warm personal involvement with their residents. I am a Catholic priest, and have been to a number residential and memory care facilities over the years; Cypress strikes me as the finest. I also note that their relationship with the hospice care that my aunt has had over over the past months was seamless; it relieved me of many worries. Edward Krasevac, OP

To start off the reason I give it 4 stars is because you are the fifth star. This place is amazing and it is because of the people here. It begins with Ashley Clarke. She through her patience caring and understanding made the transition for my aunt possible. Change is hard for the elderly and for us, we need someone we can really trust with the care of our loved ones. Once in you get the pleasure of meeting Katherine. An old friend of mine recommended Cypress, because of Katherine and the experience he and his mother had with her. In a word Katherine is like family. From the front desk to the food servers I see caring for the residents here. I don't think I could have made a better decision for the care of my aunt. This is not a place to park someone. this is an opportunity to stay involved and make a new home for your loved one. Be the fifth star.

We're looking for one large bedroom or two-bedroom also, What are the prices and availability?

Hello, What is the baseline cost for seniors? Studio or one bedroom? My father is in need of assisted living housing, he is mobile with a walker, but is independent. Thanks

I have no idea. I haven't ask about the cost. Im sure it's not cheap because it is in San francisco. Are you considering to have a private caregiver for your dad? You can look some in Oakland too.. They have some facilities which are also nice. But if you really are into San Francisco.. The facilities really look vintage and nice. Even the staffs are nice too. I work here for a months now. The name of this facility is now Cypress Golden Gate.
