Buyer Beware -- Echoing the complaints of others on this thread and knowledgeable about automotive consumables like tires and wiper blades, my recent trip to this DEKRA location on Legacy/Custer in Plano was a disaster. Simply stated, the scam here is with wipers (and likely bulbs) the only addons they sell. Employee Dave Torres has a polished routine to try and convince you your wipers are bad and if you object or point out the measurements of the wiper blade rubber, he will try to mislead and bully you into the add on purchase reminding you can’t renew your registration without passing “my” inspection. And if you just give up and try to avoid the hassle by agreeing to buy new wiper blades, be aware that the price you are quoted is “per wiper” so the final charge you are presented with is double what you expect. He also lies about the cost of his wipers being “just a few dollars more” than you can purchase at some of the automotive chain stores, when in reality identical products to the name brands he carries (Rainex) can be found at big box stores for just over half of DEKRA’s price. While DEKRA Corporate is apparently a reputable company, I can’t believe they know what goes on at this location.
