I’ve lived her for 30 years and had no idea this little slice of paradise was sitting right in our midst. #1 was the gorgeous drive along the Sacramento River out by Clarksburg. The country road parallels the winding river and is just lovely on a warm summer morning. The winery was held by reservation and our personal wine guide took us outside to the shaded balcony to await our flights of wines and our charcuterie board we ordered in advance. A beautiful view of the vineyards was quite lovely and peaceful. The wines were superb and quite surprising in their variety. The prices were unbelievably reasonable so my daughter and I ordered 5 each. We have different tastes in wines but managed to satisfy both our tastes. My favorite was the Pinot Noir. And the Merlot. And the Port. Haha.

Old Vine Zin is very nice. However, the bottle is way too heavy. Should be able to reduce weight and carbon footprint a lot.

Had the best time here for a family picnic! We packed food and reserved a picnic table. The kids ran around while we enjoyed the outdoors near the vines and the two complimentary bottles of wine that came with it. This is one of our favorite places to visit, won’t be our last time!

We are wine club members, and make the short drive to collect our bounty several times a year. The beauty and serenity of the property as well as the friendly staff make for a great experience to stay and relax with a either a glass or bottle of one of their many incredible wines.

They have a small selection of snack for purchase. There are crackers on the counter for free. But they have a gorgeous outside picnic area that we usually use and bring our own food.

Tina, I don't know when you tried; some states have recently relaxed their rules. Check with the winery. In some states they may not be able to ship directly to the recipient, but may be able to to ship to a retailer for pickup.
There is an adults only area outside as well, but there's a lot of kid friendly space. I recommend bringing a picnic. Thr grounds are shaded and scenic. Tables and chairs are provided to accommodate picnics.

There are 9 wines available to taste plus 2 barrel samples. Everything from Sauvignon Blanc to port! You can always purchase a bottle or a glass of wine after you've tasted your way through the list, too.
Yes you can take your own but they do also have a selection for sale in the tasting room. The grounds are beautiful with many great areas to eat and enjoy!
