This place is reopened under a new name...It's now called I30 Raceway. We visited it this weekend and were quite pleased with the place. I personally appreciated the freedom of walking around and checking out the cars as they line up to race. One of my favorite moments was stopping by the rail right by the starting line and has an up close and personal experience of the starting lineup and burnout area. Caution!! Wear ear protection. There is a concession stand with a really nice staff but no beer…yet. My wife took a picture of the “girl’s” restroom and Ladies, you will be pleased. Guys, sorry you just have to belly up to a stainless steel trough. Lol. I also liked that the place was well lit at night. My one dislike is that when in the bleachers, it’s really hard to hear the PA system because the ones by the bleachers don’t seem to work. Also at times, the ones that work would crackle a lot but with the business newly opened, I’m sure that will be on the to-do list soon. I will revisit.
