It was good but it was not like it used to be like years ago....

In the year 2022 it was great to be back and experience the wide diversity that makes this festival a place to add to your summer schedule. It was a little smaller, down one stage this year and a couple from way back, but it was still rich in bring out a broad selection of acts. We enjoyed Jazz, Louisiana Brass, Western Swing, Blues bands, Kentucky Folk, traditional Celtic, and loved some rich Soul music that made me feel like I was back in some churches 30 + years ago. Food is as diverse as music and you can travel the world sampling cooking from all over during the course of the weekend. Need old American traditional fare, there are hot dogs and hamburgers too. ;) Even driving an hour or two for this event is well worth the minor adventure.

Try to go every year. Free...give donations...always donate because it's so great. Lots if fun, people, food and music all over town. Too hot for dogs and little kids. Take a chair or towel, picnic basket, people you love. See you there.

had a great time at the folk festival it was disappointing chunkys wasn't there this year. it was great weather not too hot as in past years. the food was great many options impossible to not find something you like. the entertainment was great and endless variety just like the food. a wonderful experience and I will be back again for this yearly tradition. also the shaved ice was very good perfect way to cool down and the popcorn also. I hope the stand is back next year.
