The Waltham YMCA offers a variety of group exercise classes that will appeal to all age groups and the instructors that I have had classes with are extremely good and accommodating to members at every level of activity. They are engaging and the classes are fun for everyone!

The outdoor pool is really nice. They won't let members from other Y branches use the outdoor pool though. I wish they can make it more clear on the nationwide Y policy.

I signed up for the guest pass and went there yesterday. It was one of the worst outdated and dirty gym I have ever been. First of all there 2 young teenagers on the front desk busy talking to each other did not even acknowledged me for atleast 2 mins. I stood there listening to them and after that I filled up the form and I was on my own. I checked out the gym smelled so unfresh and the the equipments were so bad. After that checked out the indoor pool. It felt like they have not changed the water fro 20 years and man’s shower and locker room was nasty. I literally stayed in that facility for less than 30 mins. I don’t recommend this YMCA.

The Waltham Y has been a welcoming place for us, and we look forward to going there for years to come. We've been going for a toddler swim class, and Mr. Jeff is a wonderful teacher, who made our toddler excited to be in the water, and engaged while learning new skills. His teaching style is focused and fun, and he pays close attention throughout the class to how everyone is doing.
