Love being out here in nature...walk for miles and hardly ever see another person. Been camping out here a few times over the years. Really like the primitive campsites and the creekside trail is a nice little hike. We swim in the creek if the water levels are up

Great peaceful place. Saw a large owl today along with a turkey, raccoon, and armadillo.

We stayed at the Lake Arbuckle Campground. What a lovely setting! Right on the lake. The kids had fun with lots of room to run around. Nice big campsite.

Very nice and quiet with solid hiking, trails were properly marked even caught a 12 lb cat we grilled later.

No horses that I saw
There is camping spots you can reserve at the ranger station, but 4x4 isn't allowed. All the trails are either on foot or horseback
