beautiful and fun. there is a courtyard area with games (ex. beanbag toss, giant connect four) and trees (provided shade without too many bugs, like we literally only saw two), a nice cafe inside, and lots of food around. the pool looks out onto the beach, and the beach is very nice and clean as well. the rooms were alright, especially for the cost and being right on the beach. the only issue we had was the the bottom of the tub/shower was wobbly. you can also access the beach at night which is nice both to avoid a crowd and because most beaches close at sunset. the hotel is also pet friendly, and we brought our dog.

This is honestly a roach motel. My friend had to kill the largest cockroach I have ever seen in his room. Although check in was at 4pm we had to wait until almost 7pm because the rooms weren't ready. I'm not sure what was taking so long to clean them because they didn't look very clean to me. Towels has brown stains on them, and the bathtub and sink were dirty. The room was never cleaned in the 5 nights we were there. We had to ask for new towels and toilet paper and forget about a change of sheets. There were huge bins of dirty sheets in the parking lot, so attractive. The shower pressure was awful, it felt like someone was sprinkling water from a watering can over you, which prolonged the miserable experience of a shower that went from scalding hot to freezing cold over and over again. The loud club music started early in the morning and continued until late at night, so much for relaxing. The guy passed out in the bushes in the parking lot and random people banging on your door was fantastic. And now there is a random charge on my credit card that I didn't use, so that should be fun to dispute. The only positive thing I can say is the beach is nice and the sunsets were beautiful, but this motel is not worth the price of the room.

I think the 1 star reviews on this place aren’t very reasonable reviews. Sure, it is a remodeled older place, but you have to go in expecting just that. The cons first; The hot water doesn’t work very well in the showers, the AC didn’t get very cold at night, the “resort fee” is definitely over priced for what you get, and being understaffed is a problematic for getting checked in on time. Check in time was 4pm and we didn’t get a room until 440pm, which caused us to miss one of the bands we wanted to see at Reggae Rise Up. It was spring break and we were not expecting St. Pete to be flooded with spring breakers. A lot of noisy young college students as neighbors waking us at early am hours. So if you’re looking to get some peace and quiet I wouldn’t recommend coming here during spring break. Pros; they waived the first night resort fee for the late check in and gave us two free drink vouchers, which we later traded for breakfast vouchers and the breakfast buffet is pretty good. The man who helps park the cars was very patient and helpful making sure I got a spot to park my truck with the boat on the trailer, both nights. The lobby, court yard, bar area and beach are very nice. I read reviews about the beds being uncomfortable but ours was comfy. Other than that, we spent most of our time away from the resort on the boat and at the concert. It was mostly a good stay and I’m giving it 5 stars for the pros mentioned, while most of the cons are understandable.

Our recent stay at the Postcard Inn was excellent. This hotel has a very laid back, island feel to it, very comfortable. It has a very chill atmosphere with some surfer vibes! It is very unique, nothing like you would find anywhere else. If you’re looking for fancy high class resort , look else where because this hotel gives more of a “beach house” vibe, rather than luxury, which I love!! They have music throughout the hotel to really set the positive mood that makes you want to jump in their heated pool! We enjoyed a morning breakfast which we got with our breakfast package, which the food and coffee was delicious. One of the last nights we stayed there, we had some great chicken wings and a couple drinks at their beach bar which was an awesome time. They are understaffed right now, which is everywhere, so you just have to have some patience and be on “island time”, not in a rush. To top it off, the staff was great. Can’t wait to go back and bring all of my family with to join my fiancé and I for our wedding!

Certainly not paid $ 474
This place was colonial gateway inn and later became travel lodge in the late 90s
Yes and no... it is kid friendly and there is night life. Getting an outward facing room will cut down on after hours noise. PCI is just a great hotel in a even better location!
Yes i think so, when i was there a Lot of people Had chairs with them, but i think you have to rent umbrellas
Yes there are paddle board rentals, beach cabana rentals, umbrella rentals and chaise lounge rentals by Sand Dunes Beach Rentals
I was there June 23rd and there was no sign
If it's sunny Florida beach weather yes they are very popular. Very big and very nice though. I grew up there I visit weekly. Make early reservations you'll be good.
Not really. Some bites at the coffee shop but not like a sit down meal. The toasted monkey is a 5 minute walk or less and they have good food
Bar is open pool is supposed to be for guest only
We were there end of March, it's like a 2-3 star.... floor was filthy, it was a bit difficult to get our room cleaned, rooms were ok but certainly not fancy. BUT the beach was fabulous and they have great cabanas. Personally, I would recommend that you pay a little more and stay at the Tradewinds, it's fabulous
Yeah when you stop and think about what that $30 in cludes it's well worth it, they should have explained it to you.
The hotel is right on the beach as soon as you pass the bar and snack area in the back after the pool you are on the beach
You're in a destination vacation area all the pricing for most of the hotels on that strip or all about the same and supply and demand is what drives his prices from $100 to 200 per night
The hotel is dog friendly in that you can bring your dog into your room, but they are not allowed in any of the public spaces, including the beach. They WILL lie to you about that, saying it’s okay as long as your dog is leashed, springing the truth on you once you are here and it’s too late to cancel. Be aware.
