This is a gorgeous facility, an amazing community resource, especially the pool area (great for kids and families, especially during Florida's hot, humid summers). I applaud the city for the excellent work they do, in maintaining this large, waterfront facility. As it concerns **PICKLEBALL**, specifically, the place should be avoided - especially if you are a younger person just looking to play, have fun and make new friends. While there are some good players and nice people, there are also a number of old, unfriendly regulars that undermine the overall experience. One miserable old guy, in particular, was nasty, confrontational, abrasive. Not a good look for a "community" center. Each time I've played there, I did not feel welcome. The mood was serious and somber. Suffice it to say, I beat it out of there fast, vowing never to return (:

Great little pool! Water temperature is perfect for training. It is clean and adhering to COVID restrictions. The staff is super nice, attentive and helpful. Lastly, the setting, directly on the Intercostal, is lovely!!! I highly recommend!

I had my wedding at St. Pete Beach Community Center this past weekend and the venue was incredible. I had toured 5+ venues before this one and couldn't pass up the views and the ability to bring in all your own rentals/food/etc. Tyler was great to work with and responded to emails within minutes about any venue questions I had. I would 100% recommend this venue to any future brides!
