Beautiful grounds! I have a 6 month old, so I walked around outside with her while my husband went in and then we switched. It looked like several other families were doing the same thing. ❤

I love this temple. It was a place of joy, refuge, peace, and restoration at a time when the temple closest to me was not available.

The temple is always amazing! We always take as many kids as we can even if they can't do ordinance work yet it's good for them to feel the calm and peace the temple can bring into your life.

Beautiful sacred building with incredibly kept grounds. Great place to escape the world and focus your thoughts on those things of a spiritual nature. While you must possess a current temple recommend (LDS Church version of pass showing you meet the religious and spiritual requirements) to enter the building, everyone is welcome to walk the temple grounds and enjoy the serene beauty. Parking is free and plentiful. Excellent place to reflect on life and the eternities.

The granite for the Boston Massachusetts Temple is "olympia white granite" sourced from Italy.

8am to 7pm on the hour.
Every hour on the hour starting at 7am ending 7pm.
The gates were locked when we tried last Sunday.
You can take the red line to Alewife station and catch the 62/76 bus from there. The bus doesn't come super regularly though so it's important to check schedules beforehand. The nearest bus stop is also a few minutes walk from the temple.
The statues on modern temples are typically fiberglass covered in gold leaf. The statue also conceals a lightning rod.
The closest hotels I use are the ones in Waltham, the Embassy Suites, the Hampton Inn, or the Fairfield Inn ... all about 5 miles away. You can check the Boston Temple Guest House in Acton, too!
It helps to make an appointment, but there is family time for baptisms. Sealings begin near 9:30 am. The Temple will help whenever you get there, but it is easier with an appointment.
