My son has been going to this Academy for a year. The best part about this academy is the children have to work hard and EARN each belt. It is not easy and there are no participation awards. You can see the sense of accomplishment on the children's faces when they receive praise for a job well done. My son looks up to all the instructors. The classes are very well balanced between serious lessons, a chance to demonstrate skill, and fun games like dodgeball. During this pandemic the school has been exceptionally adaptable offering zoom classes and in person classes (following all guidelines).

We have joined our son in March 2015. He has earned yellow belt by July . Master Kim and his staff are very encouraging to the students and take care of the younger ones very well. I can see that my child has developed confidence, courage and discipline over these months after he started Taekwondo. We weren't sure of some exercises that my child could do but the constant guidance and care towards my child from Master Kim and his staff have made it possible. I am glad we reached out the best possible Taekwondo institution for our child. I would definitely recommend Master Kim Taekwondo institution for any kid. It is a place where the child doesn't only learn but develop himself.

My son Joe started taking Taekwondo when he was in elementary school. At the time, the martial arts school was owned by a different instructor. When Master Kim purchased the school, he inherited my son as a budding teenager with all the attitude and energy that can come with that age. Joe was working toward his black belt testing and I am very glad that Master Kim took over his training at that point. It took several months longer than Joe had initially expected to prepare for his black belt testing, but he was so much better prepared because Master Kim got him to work harder than he ever had before. He responded to the discipline and work ethic that Master Kim shows through his own dedication to the school and the students as well as to his continued training and personal growth. There is no other person I would have wanted to work with my son and instill in him the values of hard work and dedication. Master Kim is an amazing instructor and an amazing person as well. He promotes discipline among his students, but he also cares for them and their well being very deeply. I believe it is this combination that makes him so effective. He believes in and lives the things that he teaches and provides a wonderful example of an honorable man working to live a life dedicated to his passion for martial arts and teaching this passion to others.

We are so incredibly pleased with having our son with Grandmaster Kim. We decided to place our son with Kim due to our son having some confidence issues. We could not be happier with our decision!!! We have noticed so many positive changes in such a short period of time. He teaches/instills such a high level of respect from children. Children love the discipline and look up to him with such respect/love. The staff is phenomenal. All of the instructors are very loving and seem to really care for the children, which really helps when they push the children to do their best. We are so thankful to everyone there for their hard work and dedication to our son.
