Colonial came out to give me a quote on a job. They quickly identified that they would not be the best provider for the work I needed (due to reasons beyond their control), and spent some time discussing with me other options instead. I really appreciate the professionalism and care shown in them immediately saying "there's a better option for you then our product for this", instead of trying to sell me a worse solution just to get a job. Thank you, and these guys will be my first call in the future if needed.

To say our experience was poor from start to finish is an understatement. NHSaves directed us to this company as they were able to get the job done within a couple of weeks vs several months. They came to do with audit within days of calling which I was impressed with. I then had to call or email weekly for 3 weeks to even get scheduled. I finally found out they had scheduled me and didn't tell me. Seeing as we have a toddler and couldn't be home for the week they were installing - I was not pleased. When we came home after the installation I was shocked at the state of our home. It was filthy. There was urine left in our toilets, our water wasn't working (they unplugged the pump), a hole was left in our ceiling and furniture/belongings were moved and not put back into place. When I called and sent photos of the issues, they had someone come patch the hole. That's it. And even then the worker said he wouldn't mud or tape - just put the sheetrock back. No apologies and the worker refused to wear a mask despite repeated requests he wear one. Including when my toddler was in the room who could not wear a mask. When I asked him again he said "I've tested negative" and then took it off completely! Oddly enough our house feels colder now. We were told that there would be 4-6 patched holes in our walls and there are none. Part of me even wonders if they completed the job and we are asking someone else to review the work. After spending $14,000 I expected so much more from this experience.

We had Colonial Green insulate an addition on our house and found them to be professional and considerate. The quotes were comparable to other ones we had received, but I really liked that someone was in constant communication with me from the time I got the quote until after the job was done to see if they could do anything to help us with our decision or offer additional information. They worked hard, despite the hot temperatures, to get the job done when they said they would. They also made sure that the rest of my house was well protected from the mess that this process makes and they cleaned up beautifully when they were done. I would definitely recommend!

Perfect! The guys came when they said they would. They were nice and professional They were very detailed with covering areas and things things to protect them from over spray. They cleaned up everything before they left. The price was better than other quotes had received. What more could you ask for? I would recommended to anyone looking for spray insulation.

Having your property professionally fireproofed can reduce the spread of fire by about 40%. Many experts agree that fireproofing your building can increase the fire rating from 1 to 3 hours on average; that's more time to get yourself and your family to safty if a fire ever breaks out
Fireproofing is the use of fire-resistant materials in a building to prevent structural collapse and allow safe egress of occupants in case of fire. Having a professional contractor fireproof your property is a great way to stay protected in case of a fire.
Loose fill insulation like fiberglass becomes discolored when it filters the air leaking from your house. While it might not be immediately noticeable, over time the air leaking from your house carries dust, other particles and moisture, which is what ultimately turns the fiberglass insulation black. Call a professional insulator to make sure this does not happen in your home.
If insulation is left wet for long enough, mold and bacteria will start to grow in it. This severely decreases air quality and can lead to major health risks. The longer wet insulation is left alone, the more bacteria grows and the greater the risk to your health and home becomes. Make sure to call a professional insulator to correctly replace your wet insulation as soon as possible.
When your insulation becomes wet, it will start to lose some functionality, such as inhibiting heat transfer. Damp insulation can lose about 40 percent of its insulating R-value. As soon as you notice your insulation is wet, call an expert insulator to come and replace your damaged insulation with brand new insulation that you know is properly installed and sheilded against moisture.
The attic should achieve an R-value between R-30 and R-60. Most areas of the country have a higher minimum R-value recommendation, but just about everywhere recommends up to R-60. This is just one factor to consider when insulating your attic or any place of your home or business. Instead of relying on internet videos as a trustworthy source, use the qualified professional insulators that have the proper tools to test the R-value easily and quickly.
It's possible to over-insulate an attic as too much will cause moisture buildup and eventually result in mold. Eventually, adding more insulation leads to diminishing returns in trapping heat as well. In order to avoid this, instead of installing insulation yourself, let a professional insulator handle it for you as they have the proper equipment, knowlegde, and experience to correctly insulate your home or business.
Many people think installing insulation in their homes is a simple and straightforward task. In reality, it is very difficult to correctly install insulation anywhere in your home if you do not have the proper tools or knowledge of the science of it. Expert insulators will make sure that every area of your home is insulated completely against the outside air temperture. Not only that but they also offer higher quality insulations so that you can save more money on heating!
Batt, or roll, insulation is one of the most inexpensive types of home insulation and one of the easiest to install, especially for DIYers. However, it is important that you install it correctly or else major problems can arise. Calling an insulation installation expert is the best way to make sure your home is properly insulated against the elements. They will even test it capabilities at insulated heat and show you how well it works.
